After using some off-brand chargers I opted for this Microsoft charger. This works great, holds a charge for a long time. Charge cable could be a little longer, but it charges while the console is off which is a big plus. Don't waste your money on the knock-offs, get the real deal, it's worth it.

Microsoft does not include re-chargeable batteries with there controllers. The charge kit saves money on batteries.

Pros: 1. provides 1400mah of energy, which is more than any other out there. 2. Does not change the casing or feel on the back cover of the controller.Others have that have charging bulges are distracting to me. 3. It makes the controller lighter than using alkaline or other aftermarket ones that are similar. I can measure the savings in oz. 4. Can charge through the console while the Xbox one x is on or off in full shutdown mode. 5. Good battery life with light on/off use. I have it sitting on my coffee table almost all the time on a stand. When it gets low I just plug it in. Cons: 1. Still have to charge it through micro USB. Best to charge it from the console and not some other device. Stop looking at aftermarket, buy this, and call it a day!

This is very useful for xbox one owners. It will save a ton of money in the long run on batteries and works great!

First of all, being a long time PS user, buying battery for your controller seems absurd. Overlooking this, I think the performance is good. I can go 10-12 hours without having to recharge. I haven't actually timed the recharging time but mine fills up in 2 hrs or 2 hrs and 15-20 mins.

The battery holds a charge for a very long time. And the charge cable seems much more efficient than the old 360 cable!

The controller is pretty good on battery life, but it's nice to not to have to worry about having batteries on hand.

Keeps the controller charged and it comes with an extra long cable. I'd say it's worth it. Hate buying batteries.

Compared to the old play n charge kit this one is fantastic. Just push into battery compartment and put battery cover on and your ready to go. Charging is done through mini usb cable that goes into the top of the controller with the other side hooking up to any of the Xbox one's USB ports. Cord length is nice and long too.

I used rechargable batteries on my control but this lasted me at least one week of moderate use good battery life

This item is so much better than buying new batteries. Inexpensive and last for a really long time.
