Old play and charge battery ceased holding a charge- lasted since launch. This new one has been noticeably improved as far as: battery life, time to charge, and the cable fits more snug into the controller. Considerably a better option than batteries. Get one!

Far more useful to plug and charge than slide the thin lid off every time you need to charge the controller. Not sure why MS didn't include it as in previous generations of the Xbox

I love this kit. Not only does it have the battery for the controller, but the USB charging cable will also let you connect your controller to your PC and use it there. The only thing that I don't care for is when you do that, you will need to sync the controller again with your console- but that is easy enough. Oh yeah, and I wont need to buy batteries for this thing. It seems to last a really long time, so I just need to remember to plug it in once a week.

Everything works great so far. I am anxious to see how battery life hold up after a few months of recharge cycles.

I bought this item so I wouldn't need to use rechargeable batteries anymore. It works extremely well thus far.

These lithium batteries have a much longer charge time than traditional batteries and recharge very quickly.
