I charged this whenever I wasn't using it and unplugged it after it was done charging but after a while, it would die sooner and sooner

Sometimes, when charging the controller, the battery indicator will not turn on (light). Cable is long which allows you to play comfortably while charging.

The kit itself is 5 stars. It does what it supposed to: let's you play wirelessly on a chargeable battery. Sucks MS charges you for a feature that should already be included though.

Thanks to this product, we no longer have to use AA batteries in our XBox One controller. This is nice, but I wish this technology was already imbeded in the controller like PS4.

Exactly what i needed to do plug in play. When the AA batteries dont fit your needs, grab yourself one of these bad boys and you be fine to adventure on

For the first 4 years, I had no issues with the play and charge kits from Xbox. Now, I've gone through at least 5 in the last 1.5-2 years. I bought 2, brand new and they are already showing "low battery" even after being fully charged, and one doesn't even charge anymore. I've always been an Xbox person, but Sony definitely has the edge as far as their controller batteries go (built-in).

This did not function at all. I didn't read all the other terrible reviews before I purchased it. Had to exchange it for the Insignia charger, which works great.

I bought this for my son who just discovered minecraft. I does save batteries, but the charge doesn't last too long. You can play with it plugged in, which is cool.

Bought this kit on January 30th, 2020 now in May and the batteries charge level has been gradually deteriorating up to now May 11th, 2020 when it finally died and refuses to take a charge. The charging cable also started acting up with the led charging indicator only sometimes working. The charging cable still works as a charging cable and it allows me to use my controller wired without the battery at least.

I would have gave it more stars except for the fact that I think when you spend 50 bucks on a controller i think they should come with the rechargeable battery.

This play and charge kit is alright. The wire starts to have problems are a few months and you have to start playing around with it so it could charge the battery

Poor quality battery. Would return if it was inside the 14 day window. Go with more expensive or Amazon.

I bought two of these. One works fine. The other is awful. The battery won't hold a charge and the cord that comes with it won't let me play. Only the cord that comes with my "working" one actually will let me play. Best Buy won't let me return the broken one because "it's been too long". Well sorry if it's my second one so I very rarely use it enough to know it's such a problem...

In my personal opinion the charge doesn't last very long especially if you have your controller settings on high with vibration on

When new the charge didn't last more than 4-5 hours. After 4 months of use the battery doesn't hold a charge for more than 15 minutes. Warranty is only 90 days.
