Did not perform for long
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this back not terribly long ago and the rechargeable battery is faulty. The only way I can operate the remote is to remove the rechargeable battery and put in new disposable ones or plug the power cord into the remote with the rechargeable one removed.I am taking another chance with a second one of these to see if I got a lemon on round 1. Who knows maybe I'll get my money back on the 1st one since I haven't had it more than a few months.

Defective in Less than 3 Months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Suddenly the battery stopped charging in less than 3 months. Kit does NOT have a one year warranty like the associate said. If you read the fine print among all the jargon in the guide, the battery has a 90 day warranty only. What a waste of $25 on a first party Microsoft branded battery.

Doesn't work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I bought the charger as a Christmas gift and I left my controller plugged up the entire day. I came home to use my controller and it worked fine while I still had it attached the Xbox. But once I removed it from the charger cord it died. I figured I did something wrong. So I tried it again. I left it plugged up even longer and I used my second controller with batteries in it while this one charged(supposedly) but still no luck. I planned on returning it but I was to busy and now I'm stuck.

Does the job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does the job. Only charges from the Xbox USB port, have tried from several POWERED USB hubs and they keep it "alive" but don't ever fully charge it.

||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm surprised I can barely get one day of play where I've already had to charge it more than once on the same day.

Battery failing after less than 12 hours of play
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ran this in a rotation with my original xbox controller, if it died i swapped to this rechargeable sourse, once it died i put batteries back in the original controller, etc, etc,. After a couple of charges on this battery it has already died. I can charge however long I wish and within minutes of unplugging I get the low battery indicator on the console. :(

Battery drain in 40 minutes?!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a total failure. After chairing the pad with provided cable, it last for about 40 minutes. I switched to standard batteries and did not have to replace them since then (already one month). It was supposed to be convenient but cannot do the single thing it was designed to - charge the batteries.

Does what it's supposed to do
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works for charging the xbox one controller, as well as allows the controller to be used on the PC. I recommend checking out the link below if you are in the market for a wireless xbox one controller, and a usb connection with a battery pack, I.e. a play and charge kit but without the price, for it. It's cheaper this way: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Xbox-One-Wired-Controller-+-Cable-for-Windows/productID.307070800

For Microsoft, I'm disappointed.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given that I purchased the Xbox and controllers for my kids, I expected the controllers to fail before the batteries. That was not the case. Not only did the batteries fail and become unusable, the power surge from the cord made one of the controllers unusable. next time, I'm getting after market.
