Well its a charge kit. What does it do? It gives the electronic life force to your controller so you can slay dragons, shoot enemy, go on adventures for as long as you want without ever having to change batteries. The cable is so long that you can connect to your system, sit on the toilet and STILL play your games while you do your real worldly business. So if you want to save mother earth and reduce battery use while playing your games on the waste throne from like 2-3 meters, this is the charge kit for you! Its a reward in and of itself. This is a must have if you play many hours on your Xbox one. The battery life is great with one single charge.

The battery holds a pretty good charge. My issue is that rechargeable batteries are not built in. Microsoft will not have a superior product until the controllers themselves are rechargeable.

I save a lot of money not buying batteries for my controller. Play and charge works great.

Was surprised that I was able to purchase. Not easy for me to obtain Microsoft made devices. Had to order but it was worth the wait. Charges quickly and Xbox one controller holds the charge long enough for me to game with.
