This in my opinion is a valuable addition not only to save money on throw-away batteries but it also helps the environment as well as lithium ion batteries last alot longer than alkaline batteries in terms of playing time! I would rate this as almost a necessity rather than an option! The money you save on alkaline batteries will pretty much pay for itself in no time! And the charge kit can be recharged many times over via the supplied USB cable. Also the lithium ion batteries do not suffer from "memory" problems like NiCad batteries do and they are lighter in weight and also charge faster!!

This is the best battery kit out there for the Xbox One controller. This battery pack is a Li-ion battery, whereas other solutions are based on other rechargeable media (NiCd, NiMH, etc.), all of which suffer from memory problems if not fully discharged prior to recharge.

A must have if you are a hardcore gamer. Keeps playing time there without using batteries.

This is a 1400 milliamp battery opposed to the insignia 1200 milliamp battery, and yes you can use any micro USB phone charger they do not have a ambient light that is Amber when charging and that turns white when fully charged which is a great feature. also I have looked on Amazon Fry's and Best Buy and it has the highest milligram battery some say they're 2200 milliamps but when you get them there just to double a batteries wrapped in plastic I'm only about 800 milliamps. Sell for 19 bucks this is the best way to go

Lasts pretty long considering I use it to power my headphones as well. I am happy I bought it.

I prefer using these to the regular batteries. I can recharge right off of the Xbox One.

It holds a pretty good charge, certainly worth it if you don't want to buy a bunch of batteries. It works perfect for the Elite Controller.

This was a good battery and was handy to avoid having to charge straight from the controller.

Battery is perfect for Xbox 1 controller, it charges quick and holds a good charge. I have yet to have any issues with this product and I use it everyday

The new X-Box 1 elite controller does not fit into your traditional X-Box 1 charger. It needs a special rechargeable battery cover, that has not been invented yet. Therefore this is the only way to go in regards to thew Elite controller. It does a great job.

Needed a rechargeable option for my Xbox One/S controller and finally was able to find an authentic Microsoft Play & Charge at Best Buy while on vacation. It's authentic so it works flawlessly and the price point was just right compared to other options I came across. Checked online and saw it in stock near where I was, walked in the store, and made my purchase. In and out in less than 10 minutes.

I could not do without the rechargeable battery pack. It would be nice if the cable was a bit longer... Since it is not. Do yourself a favor and get a second one of these.
