It would be great if xbox had a battery already inside their controller without having to purchase this product or replace batteries constantly but I am an xbox guy in the end. This is great! Ive noticed it last longer than a PS4 controller when thats fully charged. I used my best buy mystery offer and got this for $5 off to so made it even better.

Easy to use, has a very secure fit to the controller, charges fast and serves as a wired connection as well. It will even allow a controller with no battery in it to function.

It gets old replacing batteries on a wireless controller, especially if you're in the middle of a heated gun battle on COD. My friend told me I should invest (I'm new to x-box one) and I'm sure glad I did! When it notifies me my batteries are low, just plug it in and I can continue to move up in the COD ranks in just a few short seconds!

Battery last long and charges fast enough and while you play

I bought this because I was wanted a battery that I could leave in my controller while it charges. Before this I was just using Energizer rechargeable batteries which didn't last very very long. With this battery you can can hook the cable up to your controller turn off the system and it will continue to charge as long as you have quick wake up mode enabled on your Xbox. Not much else to say other than it lasts a long time when charged and doesn't add any weight to the controller over regular batteries.

I don't understand why this isn't built into the controller from the start or included with the console, but it is a must have. Do not buy a single battery for your controller, buy this kit. I bought it for my Xbox Elite Wireless Controller and it works great.

I consider myself a moderate user, I usually play about 2.5 hours a day before bed, sort of a bed time ritual after a long day at work. On my days off I may play for about 6 hours straight. This is my typical routine on a weekly basis, if I don't go out. I never have to charge until about a week and a half. Lately I haven't had to charge for almost 2 weeks with a constant 2.5 hour a day gaming. My additional 6 hours on my 2 days off seem to bring it down to about 1 week and a half. I'd recommend this official charge kit over the cheaper alternatives because after some research, it uses Lition-ion as opposed to NiMH and lasts much longer than the cheaper Energizer and Nyko versions. While I'd like to have a dock just like the Energizer and Nyko versions, the battery pack itself is more priority to me. I also don't like that the Nyko and Energizer versions have to add metal contacts on the back door, thus you cannot use stock back cover and have to use theirs. Another downside to the Nyko and Energizer versions, the battery indicator on the dashboard is not accurate, the official will give you the proper reading. The charge cable it comes with is very good quality, long enough to play and charge at long distance (9ft). It does have a light on the end that's orange and turns white when fully charged. The Xbox does still charge your controller when turned off, and I mean fully off and not in standby mode. You can also plug into the wall using the end of a phone charger like Android or the end of an iPhone charger, which I liked since my outlet is closer than my console, and still play while plugged into the wall. Its micro usb, so you can also use any Android phone cable instead of the official, which could come in handy when in desperate need to charge. I personally like to keep it official and use the proper cable to see the charge indicator light. A proper full uninterrupted charge and full discharge every time will have you gaming for almost 2 weeks before having to recharge again. Unless you're a much heavier user, then I'd say you're good for a minimum of 5 days straight.

Originally I bought another battery of other brand because of price but are NiMH batteries and I remember the ones I have for the 360 after awhile they didn't hold charge. So I researched and find out the original from Microsoft are actually lithium which I know for fact they last much longer and everything I have with this kind of batteries has last for years, now I been playing gears of War 4 on long sessions of over 8 to 10 hours and on a weekend I only have to charge it once so far they have lasted pretty much. Another good feature is the charging Cable which has a built-in light letting you know when it's actually change besides it's long enough to reach the couch probably about 10 ft long

What can I say? It is a play and charge kit. Like the title says, you play, you charge. Eliminates the need for AA batteries which in this generation, I am unsure why Microsoft still opted for batteries but I have to assume it has something to do with the plethora of officially licensed charge kits available. The only issue I have is my living room is fairly large and the cable doesn't reach to my chair where I do most of my gaming. But I generally just plug it in while watching TV and it is fully juiced by the time I'm ready to get gaming. Well worth the money to not have to worry about batteries.

great battery life - quick charging. Arrived on time!

This battery pack and charge cable is perfect for anyone that wants to eliminate having to purchase batteries for their controller. The charge time is quick and lasts a very long time, depending on use. A simply must have for any serious gamer not wanting to scramble for fresh double A's when that game winning score counts.

Worth the investment. The number of times I would have had to put some new AAs into the controller are gone. I get a good amount of time (depending on usage) before I have to recharge it. Even considering I recycle batteries anyway, this still saves on the process likely saving something in the environment as well.

This battery pack is the best I didn't regret buying it for my controller at all. It will save you so much money and for the price it's totally worth it I haven't had to charge my controller in 3 days and I play 5-8 hours in the day if I have the time but you just can't go wrong buying this and the cord seems very premium to charge the battery pack. You literally pop the battery pack in your controller and use the controllers usb at the top and plug it in and charge it that way and it doesn't take that long to fully charge them either!!
