It works like it is supposed to and charges through the controller. No special adapters or hardware. Unfortunately there is never any stock in stores (6-30-22). I wouldn't say it lasts 30 hours like the adds say but it seems to last longer than cheap batteries and I can keep using by plugging it in.

These batteries have been around for years. Definitely worth the purchase over using AS batteries.

Rechargeable battery is well worth it. I was replacing AA batteries every 2-3 weeks and using quality Duracell batteries. As a result, I decided to switch to the rechargeable battery to save on purchasing batteries.

Best way to keep your controller charged, I prefer this to the built in battery that other controllers have as this can easily be replaced when it no longer holds a charge, it’s a lot more hassle taking apart other controllers to replace the internal battery which I have done several times in the past. The plug and play kit cost more up front but is definitely preferred

Works perfectly. My controller was an older style which had a micro-USB connection rather than a USB-C. I just picked up an adapter that converts it and it works perfectly. Also, the controller recharges very quickly!

Its been great. Last long. So when one pack dies i put this one as a replacement. I recharge the other pack and so on

Got this to avoid having to use AA batteries with the Series X. Fits perfectly in Series X controller and One controllers and you can even continue using the plastic battery cover with this installed (which can be an issue with other brands). Charge lasts about 40-50 hours of playing. If batteries run out you can also play using the charging cable while it recharges.

Microsofts rechargeable battery and charge cable will save on battery costs in the long run and eliminate search for batteries. The connection is now a USB-C which makes connecting much easier. You don't have to fuss with trying to orient the cable connector properly. The cable is long enough to sit a a comfortable distance form the TV.

Never got why Microsoft still uses batteries in their controllers, even in 2021. I bought this as soon as I could, and have been using this in my Series S controller since day one. It works perfectly, and looks pretty much just like the play and charge kit for Xbox One. So if you have the old play and charge kit, it will fit just fine in the next gen controllers.

This is my second one buying for my controller and it’s convenient. I can now charge without worry about batteries or taking out the battery to charge. I just plug in the ubc c cable that is long cable too. I can use the same cable to charge my PS5 controllers. So my 2 new Xbox controller are now like my PS5 controllers and now easy to charge and play.

This is a must-have if you have an xbox series x or s. It's a shame Microsoft doesn't include rechargeable batteries with the console but this product will prove more useful and cost-effective in time than having to buy batteries. It also comes with an extremely long USB C cable that's great if your console is far away from where you're playing.

A must for long term gaming as this battery pack is easy to install and completely out of sight. Once installed, your Xbox controller acts like any other rechargeable controller and only needs to be plugged in to be recharged.

The rechargeable battery is great for people who are tired of buying AA batteries regularly. I constantly play Modern Warfare so I play a lot and this battery stays charge for a couple of days. I think it charges up pretty quick. The cable is long enough just in case you forget to charge and you're in the middle of a match you can charge up no issues.

Batteries make me mad. I have a charger next to my Xbox but I was tired of have to change the batteries. Now I can just plug it in.
