Pretty much a need if you don’t want to be messing around with batteries every few days! Definitely worth the $25. Battery life is excellent & a pretty long cord just in case you want to play while charging.

This battery works awesome for the value. I would definitely buy this battery again.

The charge lasts several hours of play and the USB-C charges the battery very, very fast. Highly recommended for folks who don’t want to continue to buy AA batteries forever.

They charge to 100% in the matter of 2-3 hours and last 10-15 hours each charge.

Works as expected. Far superior to the off-brand versions, the Microsoft play and charge kit came with 1 battery and 1 charging cable. I've bought multiple off-brand battery packs and charging cables. They are never the same quality and durability as Microsoft branded ones. Usually, the charging cable is the first to go... Either it develops a short over time, or one of the prongs bend. Then, shortly after noticed the off-brand batteries start to lose capacity... Often to the point, they must be kept plugged in. I have experienced none of these problems with Microsoft brand play and charge kit. The quality is well worth the added price.

The battery pack last up to at least 24hrs without having to charge it and when you do charge it it only takes at least a couple mins for it to be halfway charged

I really wanted my Xbox controller to be fully wireless, without using batteries, and still use the USB port for charging and data. I finally found one in stock, got it ordered, and put it in after it arrived. It's been working fine ever since. Plug it in to charge and it still works in wired mode, unplug it and turn it on and it works wirelessly. One of the best reasons to use first-party add-ons.

This 1st party accessory for your Xbox Series controller is exactly what you need to get off of your reliance of disposable batteries. The included cable is great for charging, but also for syncing/resyncing the controller with your console. It just works, which is what you would expect. Excellent quality, and no surprises :)

Works well. Does what it is supposed to do, just a little bit overpriced. Also it would’ve been nice if it had a light like the xbox one version has, so you know when it is completely charged when in stand by mode.

Charges quickly so you can get back to gaming. Easy to install, and the battery lasts for awhile. Would recommend as a must have accessory for your Series X

This one has a USB-C only for new X-boxOne X/S controllers. Not for micro USB X-box one controller... Best thing to buy for your controller. It lasts all day with rumble on, and probably can last 2 days. I own 3 of these. My first one still fully charges and works years later. I use my second one as a back up when I'm in a gaming coma and the first one needs charging. The 3 one is still in the box and probably won't open it for 2 years because the first one just won't die!!!!

Does a great job replacing regular batteries. Ive always used the elite controller but i purchased the Starfield controller. I can’t stand using batteries and i still dont understand why they are still using batteries. This is a great replacement for that to make it like an Elite controller. Battery life is great. Charge time does take a little while but not a big deal.

So much more convenient than having to buy AA batteries all the time. You do have to remember to charge it but it lasts longer than regular batteries in my experience. Overall a great addition to the Xbox controller.

I like having this rechargeable battery pack in my controller, instead of going through regular batteries. Easy to use, easy to charge, and holds the charge for a long time.
