The old one still worked but was starting to get worn so when I went to get a new one, I opted for a carbon copy of the old one as it works great and has a nice form for general computing.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse with my Win 8.1 tablet PC. The mouse work as expected. It was easy to pair. It works correctly almost all the time - it is responsive and smooth. However, it occasionally fails to pair with the tablet. Usually a quick off/on with the mouse will correct this issue. Once I needed to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. Another issue is my bluetooth keyboard becomes laggy when both the bluetooth mouse and bluetooth keyboard are connected to the tablet. I am unsure which device (mouse, keyboard, or Win8.1 tablet) is the culprit - my feeling is that it's the Win tablet that has difficulty processing two bluetooth devices simultaneously. The 4-way scrolling works well. The special Win8 thumb swipe on the mouse it nice...works well...but I rarely use it. This is a good product for a reasonable price.

What I really liked the most it not having to deal with a dongle that can easily get lost. Since you do not need a dongle to connect to the usb port, it frees the port up for other devises.

I beat up on peripherals, so the fact it worked as long as it did was the reason I went with another. Found out after purchasing and comparing the two mouses/mice I found my original had popped out from the frame. I pushed the shell back together and now have two excellent mice! Great product!
