Great concept, poor follow through

I had no connectivity issues on my Windows 10 PC (I had some trouble with windows 7 connectivity), but even when it was connected continuously, the middle mouse button (scroll wheel) would just stop working randomly for a bit. No functions with it would work at all- no scrolling, no scroll wheel button press, nothing. I tried waiting it out to no avail, but then found that if I pressed both the left and right mouse buttons simultaneously several times, it would start working again. After some Google searching on the product I found that this is apparently a fairly common issue, so I just returned it and am currently searching for a replacement. Fail, Microsoft. Fail.
