I'd have guessed that these would perform better than the previous model. but they, in fact, do not. i like the built in headset jack, but there isn't a built in mic mute button… and when I'm in a party my headset cuts out constantly.

Shoulder buttons are way too stiff. Took a long time till they got easier to use. Get the one that came later with easier shoulder buttons.
