I bought this to play pc games Windows 7 computer. It works great. You plug in the controller and go download the drivers from the website that goes with your windows. And that's it. This is the best controller i have bought for pc.

    Decent enough controller.

My problem with the 360 controller was always the placement of the analog sticks. I prefer the PlayStation layout, but the Xbox sticks always worked better. This is true across every generation of these consoles. This particular one I picked up also came with the Windows adapter, which is why I'm giving it 5 stars. Unlike knockoff adapters, this one supports 4 controllers simultaneously within any game that supports the Xinput standard - pretty much every game with joystick support since 2008. It's also supported in older games that use the DirectInput, though not as well. Don't expect this to work with other platforms outside of Windows without some work (macOS) or at all (non-rooted Android). While wired Xinput controllers work with my Sony XBR850C (Marshmallow firmware), this doesn't even show up in AIDA64 as connected to the TV. Still, for my intended usage (console-style games and emulation on the big screen), this works great; the only thing blasphemous with this is playing PlayStation and PS2 games with Xbox controllers, but since we live in interesting times these days, why not? If you're a PC gamer, you don't want to spend money on Xbox One controllers (or PS3/PS4 controllers for that matter), you don't wired controllers (such as the excellent Logitech F310), and you want a wireless controller set that supports more than one player, this is what you want. However, if you're good with spending a little more and your PC has a Bluetooth adapter with great range, the Xbox One and PS4 controllers may be a better option.

    Great Controller

This product has not given me any problems. I have had this for about a month, and it is still in great condition. Battery life is outstanding, I have a microphone hooked up to it and it still has three bars left. I haven't had to change them yet. The controller fits very comfortably in my hand, unlike the PS3 controller, which is akward to hold. Maybe the only problem I have had with this is the directional pad on the left side on the bottom. Sometimes I want to push the up button and it pushes the left or right one. But, that really isn't a big deal, and it might be my fault... Overall, great product. I would like to see the price go down thought...$50.00!!! Expensive!

    Excellent, Multi-functional

Pros: -Can't beat the originally certified controllers from Microsoft. These are the best you can get, and they last very long (as long as you take care of them). -The safety release has been one of the greatest innovations since the earlier console days and it's certainly a great feature they kept for the current gen consoles. -Corded, so there's no worrying about stopping to change batteries or having to use the plug-n-play (that broke on me after a while). -Buttons, analog stick and triggers feel firm and durable. -Can be plugged into a computer's USB hub and play Games For Windows Live flawlessly. Cons: -It is corded, that can be a problem for some. -Although I purchased the latest model (with the revised D-Pad), it still feels very stiff and sometimes pushing Right makes me go Diagonal-Up-Right or Down-Right. -Price

i bought the wired controller because it was $15 cheaper then the wireless one. plus, getting a wired controller it doesnt come with the rechargable battery pck so you have to buy anpother one of those unless you want to fork out a ton of cash for batteries. no thank you. the wired controller works AWESOME. its durable, and the wire plenty long to sit away from the TV. unless you like sitting 30 feet away, but thats not me. its good for friends to use when they come over. i'd get another one.

I got this to game on PC with, and it's been awesome. I'm a console gamer, and can't get used to the mouse / keyboard thing. For games like Skyrim and Fallout 4, this controller is perfect.

Works under Windows 7 out of the box. No drivers to install. Instructions talk about software needed at windowsgaming.com for windows XP but I could not locate the software. Tried just plugging it in and it worked fine. Have been running into many windows based games that only support the xbox 360 controller so now I have one.

I got this controller a few weeks ago and its worked out great. Wireless is definately the way to go these days. I had bought a wired one a while ago and i was unhappy with it. The only downfall of this unit is that it does not come with a rechargable battery. I had to purchase one separately. Otherwise you have to keep replacing the batteries. But I like the black color, its very stylish.

    Wireless Controller Stops Fights

Two sons, now one has the white controller and one the black. No more fighting about whose it is. And they love the X-Box version. Asked not to get an off-brand on this gift because it's proven and familiar.

This is easily one of the best looking (if not THE best) controllers for the Xbox 360. Its a normal controller, but it looks and feels awesome. Many of my friends who come over for gaming argue over who will use this controller over any other one I have.

I'm a new Xbox owner. I dont really have anything to compare this controller to other than a Wii remote of th esame shape. This Xbox controller is much high quality than the one I have for my Wii console. You can turn the xbox machine on and off with the remote. Easy to navigate all the buttons. Wireless is great!

    Worth every penny

I have owned one of these for two years and recently bought a second one. They have been dropped countless times and still work like-new. The strength of the wireless transmitters range is great, allowing me to control a game on my living room's 52" plasma while I'm outside on the deck having some fresh air. The rumble-feedback/vibration feature works great. If you owned a first generation XBOX then the controllers on the 360 will feel familiar, a bit more compact and slightly lighter. They are very comfortable for long-term gaming. Paired with the Plug & Play kit, these controllers will last for days without need to replace/charge the batteries. If you own the black 360 Elite you must buy these controllers simply for matching purposes! Buy three of these (+ the one that came with your console) for an excellent wireless multiplayer experience with friends and family. No tangles, no wires, no brainer ;)
