This is a Very simple application based tablet. I do not consider buying this for a business minded individual. Get the Surface pro

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. The tablet is great. However, the parental controls are horrible. You cannot set limits for your child and allow them access within the limits. You have to provide permission for everything, whether the app or purchase is within those limits. I set my daughter up for TEEN restrictions and she could not download a game rated for a game rated for a 10 year old. I had several on live chats with Microsoft and they basically told me that "RT is set up that way and there is nothing they could do". They said that the Pro version will allow these options. The family safety site is also useless. It still requires permission for everything. You have to log into the your account and go through steps to allow them to get a free app that is rated for a 1 year old. Every time! Another issue is that there does not seem to be a gift card option for purchases that would be comparable to an ITunes card. I bought her a Xbox points card, per Best Buy advice, to allow her to purchase with a limit. We have yet to find anything we can get with the points. It only allows them to purchase game adders (adding something to there avatar for example).00You have to enter your credit card number to buy any actual game. After chatting with Microsoft, they could not provide an answer. The bottom line is that it is a good product for an adult, but for families, go with Ipad or wait for the Pro version.

The absolute worst computer experience ever. It took over 4 hours to update everything to windows 8.1. when you hold it in landscape mode your finger will constantly hits the volume button. When in IE The on screen keyboard does not realize the position of the form your filling out, thus you cannot see what you're typing in. I could go on and on. Returning this tomorrow.

Had a hard time getting the internet to work, had to do major updates using the stores wireless. Now I'm realizing nothing is compatible with this. You can't download just any windows file and everything else runs on android or IOS. The app store sucks, there is no search button so you have to thumb through the very few apps they do have. I'm switching to IPad.

I hate this thing, don't waste your money. Its very slow, the battery isn't great. the windows store has NOTHING, it only lets you use IE, which I hate! It would not let me download Google chrome or anything. These are things I should have been told when purchasing, I got it because I needed excel spreadsheets but its not worth it!!

I've had this tablet for 2 months. recently, my screen started misbehaving for no apparent reason. I have read other forum and it seems other people are having the same issues with the screen not been responsive at all. to make matters worse, asus does not have a customer service line. DON'T buy from ASUS, no customer service phones lines

At first glance this product was great, but it left me wanting more. I am a student so it is great to have MS office but I would have liked to be able to install other programs that I need for school. The app store was very limited, and the games on there were boring.

OK .. so I guess I should have checked more into it and not accept the sales person mention that you can install anything you can on a laptop .. but what .. cant install Chrome? Itunes, how above spotify, screen capture tools, adobe etc. Good job I checked before giving it as a gift. Returning.

I bought this tablet to replace my laptop. i was dissapointed in the amount of apps and games but for business it was great. if you want a tablet for business it is great but for games and apps, i would recommend buying and ipad, i just sold this and bought one

I bought this for my Mom who has arthritic hands. The screen is unresponsive at the best of times. You really have to pound it. I'm not sure if the machine is faulty but I know from experience touch screens aren't this hard to use.

If you think you will be able to run Windows based programs, think again. You can't d/l Google Chrome and "run this app". I guess your only choice for a browser is IE, go figure. I bought this machine to run just a few programs i need at work thinking it was perfect for my need. After i tried to d/l the few windows programs I needed, I found out NONE would run on this machine. This thing appears to be nothing but a glorified Windows based cell phone.

If something is 16gb it should hold around that much... NOT 7gb. The OS takes up too much space and it is just a very frustrating device to use...

I'm typing this from my laptop because the Surface is so ridiculously incapable of remaining connected to wifi. Already returned one Surface because I assumed there was something wrong with it. Nope. Second one, same problem, and now I see others have experienced this as well. Why have a tablet if you can't work online? LAME. In addition, I think Windows 8 is a joke. Terrible apps, simply NOT ready for market. Taking this thing back in the morning.

I wish I could say I love this tablet but that would be a huge lie. Nothing works on it, freezes, doesn't save important documents, music store never works, video store doesn't work...I wish you people could see the HELL this tablet is and has caused me. Do not buy... you will be sorry.

Way to many password issues. Not functioning with normal windows software. Slow. It's no IPad.

This tablet is lacking in a lot of ways, when compared to an iPad or Android tablet.

I got a "new" Surface 2 on Microsoft Store. The tablet arrives to my house and works for a couple hours and then was completely gone. Since that date I had a real nightmare with MICROSOF STORE in order to get a replacement. Very bad costumer services and after almost trhee weeks calling, waiting and complaint that company I have no idea how is to use a "new" Surface 2.

So my friend finally opened her tablet and were excited about it. But suddenly, when we tried to use the tablet, the touch screen is not working. and it didn't even asked us to set it up. Were very dissappointed right now. We can't use the touch screen. Hope someone from best buy will help us from this matter. We'll going to appreciate it. THANK YOU
