I can’t believe how versatile this computer is.

Can run photoshop and Lightroom. Pop the nvidia desktop 1050 discrete graphics cars on (integrated with battery in keyboard) and it can play descent games. Nothing earth shattering, but easily handle Minecraft and my steam library. Battery lasts 8-12 hours, pen (not included) is extremely responsive. There is nothing I can fault this thing for other than a seemingly unnecessary hinge that lifts the rear rubber off the table and makes the computer a little less stable.

I replaced a surface pro with the surface book.

When it came time to replace it, i stayed with the Surface, but upgraded to a surface book with a larger screen with an Intel core i7. Great speed.

It really is my all-around computer. I can use it for work and play. Great for multitasking with studying/work. I can turn it into a tablet when I'm trying to be creative. I can even game on it. I'm new to gaming on PC, but as a long-term console gamer, this computer has been great for trying out smaller and even AAA titles. You can't go wrong with it. Although the 15" has a 1060 in it, my 13.5" has been able to handle anything I've thrown at it. If price is your biggest holdback, maybe wait for the new model to come out later in fall 2019 and see if the price drops. If you're not wanting to wait, you won't regret it.

When I use it as a tablet, this unit is very light and easy to carry. One cons: battery life, a little heavy and hard to open.

The versatile design allows for uncompromised use as a tablet, laptop, or "canvas" mode that's great for watching movies. Very fast, superb battery life, top notch keyboard and trackpad. Windows Hello is built-in, AKA facial recognition, which is great for signing into the laptop but also enabled for third-party applications like 1password, which is very cool. I can't say enough good things about it. A bit pricey but well worth it if you're looking for a great Windows portable.
