We got one from Best Buy and this was three last one left. Was ok for couple of days and then it started over heading. I'm assuming this is from one of the initial batches. I've returned it and bought a new one from Microsoft Store. It is working great since then.

I finally upgraded to the surface book after doing a great deal of research between this particular model and other surface computers along with Apple Mac. I have had the computer for about a month now and so far, I am very pleased and I feel my research paid off.

The surface line just keeps getting better. I started with a pro 2 and promptly upgraded to the pro 3 when it was released. I was hesitant to spend the monet to upgrade to the surface book but finally took the plunge and it's been a real time saver for my home design business

I went in late on a Sunday evening and I needed a computer that met specific needs by Monday morning. The sales person was able to understand all of the specifics and lead me to the one computer that met all of my criteria. So I had what I needed by the next morning.

I switched from being a +5 year Mac user to the Surface, and I am very happy. The keys and trackpad feel the same, the touchscreen is a HUGE added bonus, as well as having a tablet within the computer. It is a great buy for someone looking to upgrade from a Mac.

My salesman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He made my purchase easy and quick. He was Lsoable to answer all my questions. I'm highly satisfied with my buying experience and the product I purchased.

Although the first computer I purchased had problems with the touch screen becoming unresponsive, the replacement laptop was great! I have enjoyed using it and it's handled everything I've thrown its way!

even after reading the other negative reviews I had hopes for this computer. I have heard nothing but great outstanding things about the Surface tablets so I figured that the people saying bad things about the Surface Book didn't have much experience with computers. Oh boy was I wrong. Lets start by counting the good things; -it starts, -the pen works good, -it's actually quite fast. -I love the slightly tacky feeling of the track pad Now for the bad; -it crashes..........constantly. if you try flipping the screen backwards, like your supposed to be able to do, it crashes. when you flip it back to normal, it crashes. if you try moving the computer while it's plugged into the power supply, it crashes. if you don't attach the power cord just right, it crashes -want to use an external drive? nope, power to the USB is intermittent and won't stay connected longer then about 30 seconds. -want to install basic, free, programs from your external drive? nope, the stupid computer prompts you to insert the CD/DVD to continue? -want to use an SD card to transfer photographs because your a photographer? tough luck, the SD card reader doesn't work. -try to transfer the pictures from the camera with a USB cable? same issue as the external drive, except this time it surged and wiped my memory card clean, I had to completely redo the photo shoot. -Want to reset the dang thing back to factory to return it? HAH! it took me 4 tries to reset it before it actually took because it kept CRASHING! this is by far the biggest pile of dung I have ever seen. I'm going back to my Asus laptop that i have been using for the last 7 years. I hope Microsoft sees this. it's insulting to spend $1,800 on whats supposed to be pretty much the best thing since sliced bread only to have absolutely NOTHING work on it. I hope Best Buy throws it in the trash when I return it.

For work I needed a reliable portable tablet with the ability to take notes on the fly. Surface Book does that and more. I've had other tablet that are very good but note taking was not as seamless, with the included stylus the Surface Book is exactly what I needed.

I have been eyeing a Surface Book since they were released. I finally bit the bullet during a substantial sale (the i5/256gb/dGPU for $1550 after tax). I absolutely love it and can't recommend it enough.

Everything I need in one machine .... a powerful laptop, a tablet... it's awesome. The surface pen is the best stylus you can get for Microsoft computers too. So glad I made the leap and spent a few extra hundreds dollars on such a solid machine!

This is a great convertible 2 in 1, the nice aluminum case and keyboard gives a sleek but durable feel. The optics for screen clarity are amazing. I've enjoyed some of the features but there are many I haven't tried, cannot wait to try the rest!

This machine is sturdy, light and really useful for a college student. It's not cheap but it does so much. I am very pleased so far with the performance! Nothing it has had a problem handling.

With the addition of a dedicated (but low power) graphics card, the surface line has opened up dramatically. For the price, there are certainly more powerful options, but the form factor, functionality, and quality of the device makes it stand out.

The Surface is very good. Easy to use and set up. Great for using everyday and versatile for bidding in the field to eliminate paper. It would be great to see more apps or an interface for ios apps down the road when using it as a tablet.

I feel that overall this device is the best in tablet/laptops with the exception of price. It is overpriced. If you need 512GB of hd space and 16gb of memory the price at $2600 is too much. That is $1400 more than the Lenovo with the same specs.

Got this for my son who just started college. You won't be disappointed! The screen display is crisp and clear, boots up quickly, and performs up to its expectations. Purchased when it was on sale at the lowest I've ever seen.

Got the PC on sale, so it is even better. Does everything as advertised and the graphics are great! When I put the latest update on the computer it became even better. I would strongly recommend to anyone that wants a satire laptop

I was looking at other laptops and the people at Best Buy recommended this to me hands down. I took their advice and feel after reading other reviews about the others, this was the best one to get. I have been very happy with it so far.
