In a USB-C world, this was a nice upgrade! I upgraded from my original Surface Dock that was slowly but surely getting buggier as time went on.. Mainly there were issues with my display outputs. Investing in USB-C to HDMI cables and using the rest of my existing equipment was no problem. The new dock is great!

Good product' but expensive, Also' needs powerto work

Easy connection, works seamlessly with current monitors.

Very useful and easy to setup. A little pricey but makes a big difference on your setup.

I debated for a while on getting the dock as $300 is a hefty price. Microsoft put the dock on sale and Best Buy price matched, so I paid $165. Outside of hooking up a second monitor, I love being able to use all of the devices I used with my desktop. So much so, I don’t miss having a desktop.

Works great with our Surface Laptop 3 and 4. I like this dock over other USB-C docks even though it's bigger and heavier than most other USB-C docks that we have. The dock was able to drive two 4K screen @ 60Hz with no issue. It was able to power all the USB devices I plugged into the dock and provide fast charging for my laptop as well

Quick to set up. Offers multiple ports. Not oversized. Just a little pricey.

Great for split screens and having multiple connection needed for your surface laptop. Worked for my Surface Laptop Studio. It is my first docking station so I didn't realize that there is also a power block with it, I just thought it was as the picture seen. Not a big deal for me, but a surprise when I open it was all.

Performs as expected with my Surface Pro 7. Running two external monitors in addition to wireless keyboard and mouse. I would've preferred if they included video ports since most monitors I've purchased don't come with HDMI/DP/etc. to usb-c cables. I'm pretty happy though. Highly recommend if looking for a docking station with Surface Pro devices.

I purchased to replace surface dock. I like the usbc ports. I wish all four could drive the monitors, but only two are capable of external monitor connections. I think it could have used two more usb3.0 porta.

Does the job, Im glad it was on sale! This is a life saver for those working at home with dual monitors! I like the USB C ports in the front and the fact that it charges my surface book at the same time it's displaying on all monitors

Everything I needed in a dock. After unsuccessfully attempting to purchase in store and online multiple Times in the past, I couldn’t pass up the one last unit on the shelf. Makes switching between my personal and work desk a breeze. No more unplugging and replugging the same cables.

If you want the classic doc-able laptop experience, this is a mandatory purchase. It's nice to have this tucked away behind a monitor, and having a single cable for data and power.

ok this is innovation. POWERED SURFACE DOCK 2 powers your whole setup DISPLAYS - EXTERNAL HARD DISKS - SPEAKERS - CAMERAS you connect one single cable and your power up all your devices and get to work. You can leave devices preset the way you like it. I used it to power up my 4 displays for STOCK MARKET watch and music playing for when guests arrive

Having to setup remote offices I found my self recommending Surface products more often, this dock it's the perfect companion, the size it's perfect so it won't be taking a lot of space from your desk also it can power dual monitors, little trick if you get a USB-C to HDMI or DP you can add a 3rd but it's up to you. much needed for today's needs

Whats to say? Have a surface and need to hook it up to monitors/network/more usb ports? Get it! Do not the Surface Dock 2 has USB-C video outputs, So keep that in mind. We exclusively use Surfaces at work and these seem to work better than the Dock 1's

I have 4 of these docking stations and they are great for convenience of just unplugging my Surface Laptop and moving to another docking station where I have different monitors, speakers, scanners, etc. connected. I don't have to move cords. Quick and easy. I use one for travel which works great for connecting to projectors.

Works great with my surface laptop studio. I’m able to connect to my Wacom monitor, software dongle, wireless mouse, and other items. It didn’t work with my thunderbolt audio interface, but that wasn’t totally surprising. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s a solid unit. I’m a fan.

I bought two of these, to go with the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop my kids have. They work as expected, each with a 4K monitor, there is not much else to say about them. At full price there are better values to be found, if you Surface product is recent enough to have a USB-C port, but it is a great value when on sale.

I replaced my Surface Pro 3 with the Surface Pro 7 in December 2019. One of the mini DP ports on my old Surface dock was not working. Also wanted to use USB C to connect two Dell 4K monitors to SP7. all is working great
