I needed this item to run a few peripherals and run an HDMI cable to my 4k TV. One question I had about the item was if the dedicated NVIDIA 1660ti in the surface book 3 would work through it on my 4k TV and I can confirm it does.

Had been searching a few places for the Surface Dock 2, it had been out of stock, and then a few weeks waiting for delivery, then found one at Best Buy, even better it was an open box item, at a great price. Was very happy to save some money.

Works as advertised. Second monitor screen option for Surface is cruicial with this item. Without you can not do the second monitor screen without running into heat issues.

Simply excellent. The screen is brilliant, it is a fast machine. We don't challenge it but for normal home and business use it must be the best. Invest in a Surface 2 dock if you are going to use it at home or in the office.

It’s really silly that this machine doesn’t have Thunderbolt. I use a Surface for work and had to get a separate dock for it since it won’t work with thunderbolt - which is becoming nearly universal in 2022. Come on, Microsoft. But the 3 stars is for the the dock itself - which can be super finicky. It sometimes requires several connects/disconnects to get it to connect to both of my monitors. You’ll also need to get dongles if you have HDMI or DP since it only has USB-C ports for displays.

It was buggy at first, but the firmware updates made it now flawless with my surface pro7.

Bought this after acquiring a Surface Pro 7 to work from home. I wanted a multiple monitor setup and this fit the bill. It was a bit more expensive than I was expecting but so far I've been pretty happy with it.

This works fine. My old one broke when the power cord was pull out at an angle. Also does not update itself

Microsoft's Surface Dock 2 is all you need to do videoconferencing or stream movies to a big screen,

It's nice to have a dock that I don't have to reboot twice a day.

Works as expected using LG ultrawide USB-C monitor with Surface Book and Surface Studio Laptop.

These improved docking stations work better than the previous versions. My monitors connect faster, sleep when they are supposed to, and I don't have to reboot it every few days for it to work correctly.

Works well and charges very quickly. No problems with using older monitors. I had to use a unb to vga, and this dock didn't even know.

I have it attached to my surface book 3 and it is a game-changer. The surface book does not come with a lot of ports so this dock is really helpful for my daily work.

I was using a brand that wasn’t made for my surface pro and it was causing my surface pro to overheat. Since being this one I haven’t had the issue and have been happy since purchasing it.

Using with a Surface Book 2. Good build quality. Will charge Surface Book 2 while you use it. Would expect more features for the price, but what it does it does as well as can be expected.

It uses electricity. Plug it in and the electricity pulses through the cord. It excites my Surface. It hums and purrs. Thank you Microsoft

This is the only docking station that will work 100% with a surface pro 7. I recommend it to others that need two monitors or a network connection with their surface pro

I’m glad I bought this..At first I thought it was a little pricey but after You hold it and see how heavy it is great quality I used for a month now with no problem a bunch of outlets well worth it

Tested with a brand-new Surface Laptop 4 (which is awesome, by the way). If you want a $200 USB-hub then you've got one right here. But if you're looking for any special display functionality, you're looking at the wrong item. Consistently, this dock would lose connection to the monitor every few minutes whenever I would do high-refresh-rate (144hz) or if it was anything graphically intense like my work software. These problems NEVER happen or have happened when the display used the USB-C port on my device. Of course, the Dock is *supposed* to allow more functionality and available ports. Unfortunately, it's crap.
