    IT Director

Just want to say, I am an IT Director for a Water Treatment Plant feeding 4 cities. this phone is exactly what I been needing, downloading my vpn client i can remote into my firewall on one screen while answering emails on other screen. the multitasking on this phone is off the hook. Especially making Teams meetings for board of directors directly from my phone and having agenda on word on the other screen is just incredible. LOL in all seriousness I hardly take my work laptop home anymore. I have even been able to configure some Cisco switches with this phone. seriously amazing.

    Honest Review

I purchased my Surface Duo from MS on launch day. I use both Apple and MS, especially Office and the Surface Studio and Pro X. I love my Duo. The ability to work side by side without moving things around or swiping is great. I bought it for productivity and it delivers. I hope more software optimizes for the Duo. It really helps productivity. From a software standpoint it is good. Not great. Camera is fine is good lightning. I use my iPhone for most of my pictures. Shutter action is slow. I have confidence that MS will work through the software issues. But that withstanding, I am very happy with this purchase. I just got tired of all the expert reviews slamming it and thought an honest review would be fair.

    Built For Productivity

I've been using my Duo for about a week. I've read all of the "big time" reviewers who just slam this device. It's sad really, because I absolutely love my Duo. It's a productivity device. Plain and simple. If you need to multitask throughout the day - this should be your "go-to" device. Is it buggy at times, yes. Isn't every device you have ever owned buggy now and then... yes. If you are the guy/gal who has to have all the fanciest bells and whistles every September, then this is not the device for you. If you need to multi-task and have a workhorse device in the palm of your hands... Then get a Surface Duo. Kudos to Microsoft, this device is what I have needed for a very long time.

    Flexible with Excellent Performance.

This is an incredibly flexible device. There is a very slight learning curve with gesturing, but it really is a piece of cake to learn how to navigate the two screen and use them to your advantage. Multitasking is great. Rotating the device and having your social media on the top, and keyboard on the bottom is game changer awesomeness. Using two different apps at the same time is so effortless and satisfying. The device is high quality built, and works seamlessly. Best "smartphone" I've ever had.

Expensive But....Well Worth It To Me

A very special phone/tablet-it really does serve as both. Updates have already improved it quite a lot. It operates smoothly and quickly. Typing is easy when you rotate the phone to a horizontal position The price sort of sucks but look, a tablet doesn't make phone calls does it? At least that was MY rationalization.

Great device. I wish the camera was more like Microsoft's Nokia 1020. Solid hardware and performance. I'll use this in place of my laptop for more tasks than with my old iPhone.

Not exactly a perfect device, but great for gen 1

Replaced beloved Note 10+. Microsoft has something great here. No its not perfect, but regular updates have helped a lot. Only hardware issue is that the hinge feels a bit notchy as you can eventually feel the gears as they move, no its not dirt inside. Thought about getting it repaired, but I don't want a refurbished unit from Microsoft. As long as Microsoft keeps updates coming, I will buy the gen 2 when it comes out. Wish they kept updates coming for the surface earbuds....

    Great Concept... Failed Execution

Might be the worst phone I have ever owned and that include the likes of a Nokia flip phone. It feels great and looks good, and built for productivity. This phone is wildly under powered and very glitchy. The screen turns off in mid use, the calibration of the phone is not correct. The Touch sensitivity is awful. I really wanted to love it... and I find myself wanting the Duo 2 because I want I want it to be as amazing as it could be. Its just not! Maybe the 2nd will be better, I will never know because these phones are too expensive to get get scammed twice,

Does Not Support WiFi 6 (802.11ax). Save a Dolla

For the price and engineering this is extremely disappointing missing the opportunity to include an 802.11ax compatible antenna.
