Amazing Laptop (from a Mac user)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I typically have purchased MacBooks because the Windows laptop market choices normally consist of the usual low-quality build choices and/or machines preloaded with excessive software. I'm really glad Microsoft got into the hardware business and this laptop truly is better in every way than my last Lenovo and MacBook - from the keyboard to the build quality to the screen, everything is perfect. If you were looking at a MacBook Air or similar, this machine trumps that hands down. Thank you Microsoft, great machine!

Outstanding display resolution, fast CPU at 2.5 gig clock speed and quad processers, 8 gigs of ram. Websites load extremly fast. Has 256 gig solid state drive would rather have got the 512 gig SSD.

After looking at all options in my price range, I reached out to the sales associate. After trying many laptops, he led my to the Surface display. Apprehensive, I did take a look. As we discussed the Surface's pros and cons, I asked about sound and video definition. And dagnabit if he did not read my mind and pulled up The Beatles playing their last concert on the roof of Apple studios. That sold me, but I kept in mind that I could return the computer in 15 days. Now 21 days later I can say I am very satisfied with the processing speed, ease of use, HD graphics, size, and style. I opted to not use the Windows 10S OS and stuck with Windows 10. All is great!

Fast and light for the money

It has a nice sized screen and weighs less than most of its competitors. Highly recommend

Easy to set up, though you probably need the free Windows 10 Pro upgrade if you don’t want to be limited to Windows “Apps” or programs. Light, long lasting battery, fast.

I would recommend over the Surface Pro just because I got tired of the kickstand. I loved the Surface Pro but not having to deal with the kickstand when working from home or in a wiring closet is nice.

Incredibly well made laptop

It is incredibly well made and very solid feeling. Screen is by far the best part of the laptop. I would prefer additional ports (USB C, additional USB 3.0, and a more common video out), but other than that, happy with purchase.

What stands out with the Surface Laptop is its amazing keyboard typing experience and screen. The two work so well together that writing is pleasure vs a chore. The audio under the keyboard is surprisingly great and loud while clear. While this lineup is premium in price, it warrants a 2nd look against its competitors in the Apple aisle. It's elegant, has a nice IPS display with 3:2 aspect ratio that makes editing and spreadsheets pleasing, and comfortable. The leather hasn't gotten dirty and the keyboard keys don't have the issues of the ill fated MacBook lineup of butterfly keys.
