The product sale right away. The error messages were not scripted. Performance is satisfactory but not worth the money

Brand new laptop worked perfect for a week then locked me out. Had to go to geek squad to reset the whole thing because even they couldn't get in and no one could tell me why it did that or how to prevent it. Just said we'd have to keep paying if it happens again

This laptop has had every imaginable problem, and our luck was even worse in that we bought it from BestBuy, a company not in the business of helping but rather milking the customer dry, at 0% interest. We will never, ever step foot into BestBuy again, and absolutely NEVER touch Microsoft products.

The Surface 1 was the best computer I ever owned, Came with a pen that actually worked like a dream! But the screen was way too small. So I bought this thinking I was trading up. The battery died in a year, I had to purchase a pen separately, and it was bulky and useless. What a waste of money.

... awesome laptop! My Macs are all now on the sidelines! Trust me when I say you will not regret purchasing this Surface Laptop especially with five hundred bucks off! Enjoy your new laptop from BB!

The build quality and performance of this laptop is amazing. It's so lightweight, I can open the lid with one finger, windows hello is SUPER fast, and it starts up in the blink of an eye. My last computer was a MacBook Pro. I did a lot of research, and I switched to PC. The keyboard feels great, and the alcantara is smooth (kinda like leather). The blue looks almout like grey, so it's not gaudy and still can be used professionally. Very happy with this computer so far, I love using it!

This Surface Laptop was not an inexpensive computer. Over $1,400.00 with tax and it froze to a black screen on day 2. Geek Squad could not fix it. HP can build a computer that works right our of the box, why can't Microsoft?

I purchased the Surface Laptop in Cobalt and so far so good. The design is fantastic...thin, light weight, and sleek. The screen resolution is outstanding and having a touch screen is a big plus. It is also very quiet and has been working perfectly without any strange bugs or issues since I purchased it. The fabric on the keyboard area is very nice and is nice to rest your palms on when typing. Overall this is an outstanding laptop and Microsoft definitely seems to have gotten it right with this one.

Unhappiness,it is not like that really feel good ,it is a little bit slow and I just got it almost one month but the price $100 cheaper than before so I am not recommended to anyone now

I'm trying to restart the surface and it won't let me. Going to return this piece of crap and never buy another one. I have to now drive over an hour to the nearest Bestbuy store. This sucks!!!

It took two days for the file manager to stop working. Not able to fix it had to take the laptop back to the store. They could not get it to work either

I returned this because it wouldn't allow me to download any google products and software. Would not recommend.

After charging for almost 36 hours the laptop would not boot up !

Amazing laptop. I also have the Dell XPS 13 2in1 and Surface Laptop is superior in several ways. Windows hello facial recognition is ridiculously fast... almost instant. Upgrade to Windows Pro took 3 mins. Great battery and the design feels as good, if not better, than an Apple product. I am a business user and chose the cobalt blue. Best feature for me is the hibernate option when closing the lid. Incredibly this causes ZERO battery drain and boots back up in seconds. You can hibernate this laptop for weeks with almost no reduction in battery. Perfect for all day meetings and traveling. Good cool factor from strangers as well.

Just a disclaimer: I love Apple product and have had them for a long time, but am now slowly making the switch BACK to Windows. Read further if you're an Apple owner on the fence about switching over. I agree with the first reviewer as well. Overall, a great laptop, and can handle mostly everything you throw at it (except heavy video editing or something graphic intensive), however, you must remember this laptop isn't made for that type of work. I did a lot of research on this laptop before purchasing and am definitely glad I did. I have been waiting a while for a good laptop to come out because all the other brands seem to do much of the same, and unfortunately, Apple has left their "prosumers" behind by putting in sub par components or lacking innovation. So, for the Surface Laptop: Very well designed, clean, and what we call nowadays as "Apple" like quality. The screen is amazing, clear, bright, and color accurate. And the touch gestures as well as interacting with Windows 10 works very well. Keyboard took a few hours to get used to because I was used to the Macbook Pro, but it definitely feels great and superior to the new Macbook Pro keys that feel very unnatural. The only bummer I'd have to say about this laptop is the lack of ports. Like who uses a Display port anymore? They should have just put a USB-C port there instead or another USB port. Performance wise, I haven't put it through the loops yet, but working with Adobe Creative products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) have been pretty smooth so far. I treat this laptop as my day to day laptop instead of my powerhouse (currently my old macbook pro). I am waiting for the new Surface Book 2 or a higher powered Microsoft device before I make the move. But I can say with confidence that I am definitely a Surface customer now. The build quality for Windows is refreshing.

I purchased this 5 years ago and it is just now giving me trouble. It was definitely much more expensive in 2018 than they are now, but I plan to purchase another surface. I had a great experience

This laptop is a keeper. I have had it since 2019 and it still works wonderfully. Great graphics, processor. Not for heaving gaming or computing however.

The Surface Laptop is beautiful. The colors are amazing. I had the cobalt blue, but exchanged it for the burgundy. The trackpad is very responsive but could use some improvements in terms of feel. Otherwise, I love the laptop. Lightweight, with great weight distribution. Easy to hold in one hand if moving around or even laying in bed. Windows Hello integration works very well. The keys are a joy to type on. They feel great and you can barely hear them. This is the perfect laptop for college students or anybody doing relatively basic/Office work, and wants something they can carry around with them. Windows could be a bit better in terms of responsiveness and reliability, but in terms of the Surface Laptop, they've absolutely nailed it. It's one thing to try this in store, and another to have it in your home or on your commute. I'm in love.
