This laptop is great - perfect size, great keyboard, great screen clarity - couldn't be happier. Only warning - the software that comes with it will not allow any downloads - need to upgrade to pro version to be able to download - free upgrade but frustrating until figured out.

I've had this a couple weeks & so far am loving it. Extremely fast, lightweight, and the battery lasts seemingly forever. I do wish it had more than one USB port, but this is the sacrifice you make when you purchase a laptop this thin & light.

I have a surface pro 4 for work and I loved it. So when I wanted to get something for personal use I went and shopped the surface products first. I love the battery life, it's so light, the keyboard is great, the speed is nice, it's just an all around great computer!!

I enjoyed setting up this laptop wore than any previous Windows device because Cortana talked me through the setup and I answered the questions verbally also. I have used this laptop for about a week and it has behaved flawlessly. Using Windows 10 S is not a problem for me because, for the purposes I use this laptop, apps from the Windows Store are fine. Performance is not blazing fast but is certainly more than adequate. Video streaming or video playback from disk both work without any problem. There is only one USB port, so I also purchased a Surface Dock, which works fine with the laptop. The fabric surrounding the keyboard and trackpad is still a bit strange to me but I have not found any problem with it. The screen is quite good and seems taller than a typical screen of this size, which makes working with apps easier. Although somewhat expensive, I definitely do not regret this purchase.

I purchased the Microsoft Surface Laptop in Cobalt Blue for school. It is absolutely perfect! The battery last forever, it's light, compact, fast and the color and clarity on the screen is perfect! My daughter now wants one too!

The new Microsoft surface was quite a jump from my old Lenovo laptop. Smaller, much lighter, faster and easier to use. The tech support from the Geek Squad onsite was also helpful. Sales support was also helpful.

IF you want efficient, speed and consistency, any of the surface models (even 4 GB RAM versions) are all excellent. All versions will outperform most Lenovo & Dell comparable and even higher spec computers and tablets. I have the surface pro 4 for personal use, surface pro (new) for work and my wife has the surface laptop. My personal surface pro has 4 GB RAM, the laptop and newer surface pro each have 8 GB RAM and they will easily outperform any work computer I've ever been provided. These computers are consistent, fast and always perform at a high level. I've got a little over 18 months of lengthy daily use with the Suface “brand” and I don't see any reason to change back to anything else given how these machines have performed and held up over time. The new Surface Laptop is amazing. I personally prefer to have the tablet capability, but my wife likes the more traditional laptop and is hooked after having been a consistent Lenovo for work and apple for personal computer- she's happy to have switched. Great performance, excellent sound and we both love the overall feel, build of the laptop.

I just love this computer. It looks great. It is very fast. The battery lasts over 14 hours. Very light. Excellent screen. It is a bit pricey, but a lot better than other laptops.

This laptop is great for businessman. It is thin and light which makes it really easy to carry around like a tablet. It is actually a laptop so it is powerful enough to run Microsoft Office without lagging. I give 4 star because it is a little expensive for this laptop.

I bought this laptop as an open item. It has the one year warranty as if new. So far it’s been working fantastically. Start up is extremely quick and it works through facial recognition with no problem. It has enough RAM and processor power to get through tasks quickly and efficiently. It’s light and easy to move around with. Screen is beautiful. Battery life has been excellent as well. Keyboard works smoothly and is very responsive. Best Buy had it reduced from $999 to $$838 just because it was an open item although it was in perfect condition. Would highly recommend, especially if open item to receive additional savings.

When our HP laptop became very slow and hot we decided to try the surface laptop. It is quick, the screen is crisp and it is so lightweight. Great battery life.

I've had this laptop for a little over two years now. I can definitely say that it has done its job and exceeded my expectations. I've been able to multitask with running multiple programs at once, and the screen is still big enough for side-by-side window viewing to still be decently readable. I have not had any issue with the battery losing charge over the years nor with overheating. The only time I've heard the fans kick into high gear is when I opened an intensive game.

Light weight, good quality & performance. I am so glad that chose it over other products (I was very concern whether it has performance for university or not, and there were other products with same functionalities were much cheaper). It was purchased for my son who attended university. So far he is very pleased with it and it does everything he needs to do with his assignments and projects. I am highly recommend it to anyone who needs a portable, light weight, good performance, durable laptop for high school or university, or work.

I spent a lot of time prior to this purchase reviewing laptops that would be best for my need as a student. I am extremely happy with the surface laptop. It is lightweight, user-friendly, and has all the necessities for college (word, excel, etc.).

This is our 3rd Surface and we love them. It is light in weight and runs our son's academic engineering programs with ease. Great laptop for school.

We needed to invest in a laptop for my daughter that would last through HS and even college. We didn’t want to go the chrome book way and have to get one every year or 2. The functionality, ease of navigation and light weight is great. We would recommend this to anyone that is looking for longevity and a solid performing laptop

I traded in my three-year old Surface Pro 3 towards this purchase in a Best Buy Store. It was a phenomenal device in mint condition but with my travels and productivity, I found myself using the tablet as a standalone option less and less. Enter the Surface Laptop. Granted, this is expensive machine, however the build quality is so far appreciated as is the internal speakers. The display is quite nice and typing is a breeze. Considering I got a decent trade in value of my Surface Pro 3, it made swallowing the price far easier. The battery life is fantastic from the past few weeks of usage. I do some platform gaming from Steam on this device paired up with Xbox controller and it's a pretty flawless experience. As a working professional, I really like the aesthetics and don't mind that there is no expansion options (I really don't want to open my laptop and add SSDs or RAM). Overall, it's a nice machine and I trust it'll be good to me for the coming years as was my Surface Pro 3.
