I've had this laptop for about a month now, and I have no complaints. Prior to this, I had a 16 inch HP laptop that was insanely heavy and essentially had to be plugged in at all times after a year of use (a constant issue I had faced with HP laptops). Now that I have this laptop, I must admit that its much easier to carry around and much more comfortable to use in general, as the battery has lasted me much longer--- even after days of intermittent use. The higher price point of the laptop is honestly worth it. With this computer come many good features, including high camera quality and ability for multitasking. One of my biggest concerns was being able to access programs like ChimeraX and not have the battery be totally drained from using it while also switching between apps. Overall, I'd say this computer is really great for anyone who is planning on using it for schoolwork or remote work. In my opinion, this laptop is Microsoft's closest attempt at recreating the Macbook, as the weight, dimensions, and features are comparable.

I've been using this Microsoft laptop primarily for browsing, browser-based gaming, and media consumption, and I'm very impressed overall. The Good: Build Quality: The all-metal build is fantastic. It feels premium and sturdy, giving off a real "MacBook for Windows" vibe. It's sleek, solid, and feels like a high-end device. Performance: The laptop is incredibly snappy. Apps open quickly, browsing is smooth, and it handles multiple tabs and light gaming without any noticeable lag. Battery Life: The battery life is a huge plus. I can easily get through a full day of use without needing to reach for the charger, which is perfect for portability. The Not-So-Good: There are a couple of screen-related issues that prevent it from being perfect: HDR Flickering: When viewing dark backgrounds with HDR enabled, there's a noticeable screen flicker. This can be distracting when watching movies or working in dark mode. Video Playback: I've also experienced some video flickering specifically when subtitles are turned on. This seems like a software issue that could hopefully be fixed with an update. HDR Settings: The HDR settings could use more tuning options to help mitigate some of these issues. Overall: This is an excellent laptop with premium build quality, great performance, and amazing battery life. If you can look past the current HDR and screen flickering issues (which may be fixable via software updates), it's a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a high-end Windows experience

This laptop is honestly such a good investment. I got it for college and it was so easy to use and and is perfect for college life. The battery life is solid, I have a little trouble with it every once in a while because I am using adobe products that take a huge toll on the battery. The touch screen is game changing when it comes to editing and having to zoom in on pictures.

It is a bit smaller than my previous version. The screen does not detach but I found that I hardly ever used that feature anyway. Love the color. Performs well. Learning to use Copilot more.

I recently purchased this laptop and I’m very happy with it. It’s lightweight, which makes it easy to carry to school and between classes. The battery charges quickly, which is really convenient when I’m on a tight schedule. It also runs fast and handles all my schoolwork smoothly without any issues. Overall, it’s a great laptop for students and I would definitely recommend it.

I had a Surface Pro7 for about 7 years. I loved the longevity of it, but didn't love how the screen detached from the keyboard, so you had to be sitting at a desk to use the laptop since the screen didn't sit up on it's own. When looking for a new laptop, I knew I wanted to get another laptop in the Surface family and this laptop is perfect! The battery life lasts a minimum of two days, even with constant use, but lasts up to a week if you're not using it often. I wanted a laptop that could run some simple games like Minecraft and Stardew Valley with no lag and not have the laptop overheat, and it runs the games perfectly! I don't have anything I don't like about this laptop, it's truly my dream, plus it's my favorite color! Highly, highly recommend.

Awesome laptop, Microsoft Surface Laptop, lightening speed and able to navigate setup easily. Display size much larger than previous model. Battery life about 20 hours, so much longer life than previous model. size is perfect for picking up and traveling on the go.

Bought this for my grandfather who is 93. He needed a laptop. This is overkill but I wanted it to just work. It did not out of the box. Specifically it came installed with x86 OneDrive. Which is odd since this is specifically an ARM device. Why Microsoft? I setup the machine out of the box and specifically went with the OneDrive pre-installed. After a few days my grandfather was getting a weird error. OneDrive was essentially silently crashing and not syncing any of his files. As soon as I verified that it had the wrong version pre-installed. I then uninstalled and downloaded the specific ARM version from Microsoft’s website and logged in and set everything to download local files to instead of doing a sync as needed. Now it just works. Other than that no other reported issues. However if you’re offering and marketing a specific machine for cloud computing and it can’t cloud… that is an issue.

This laptop is so sturdy in my backpack. I love the color and how clear the screen is. It’s fast and the programming is easy to use. I switched from a MacBook Pro and prefer this one!

I needed a laptop for very basic purposes and this is exactly what I needed. The pinkish color is very cute. Pros: lightweight, like the touch screen, very easy setup, love the multi-window screens, touchpad is large, and the battery is very long. I am still getting used to Copilot and honestly I have been using chatgpt instead because it's a little more helpful.
