Customers are saying

Customers regard the product's overall performance, battery life, portability, and processor speed very positively, often describing it as great and very fast. Many also appreciate its design, attractive color, touchscreen feature, and lightweight build. However, a minor concern raised by some is the limited port selection, specifically the absence of an HDMI port.

I recently purchased the Microsoft Surface Laptop Copilot+ PC (13.8”, Snapdragon X Plus, 7th Ed) and overall I’m impressed — it delivers on many of its promises. The build feels premium, the display is terrific (bright, sharp, with great color accuracy), the battery life is solid, and the inclusion of Windows AI features / Copilot+ has proven useful for productivity and everyday tasks. That said, there is one downside I’ve run into: the 16 GB of RAM sometimes feels a bit limiting. When I push the laptop — e.g. having several browser tabs open, doing light photo editing, or running a few utility apps in the background — the system occasionally shows lag or slower-than-ideal responsiveness. It isn’t a dealbreaker, but for heavier multitasking or more demanding workflows, more memory would make a noticeable difference. What I liked: • Strong performance for everyday use • Excellent battery life • Gorgeous screen and solid design • Good storage (512 GB) — plenty of room for files, apps, etc. What could be better: • Memory could be better — 16 GB feels tight for heavier multitasking or more resource-demanding apps • Occasionally, when pushed, there’s a bit of slowdown attributable to RAM constraints Overall: If your usage is moderate — web browsing, office-style productivity, media consumption, light creative work — this laptop offers a lot of value. But if you often run many apps at once, work with larger files, or want headroom for future needs, you might want to consider a version with more RAM (if available), or budget accordingly.

I have to say, coming from MacBook I didn’t have any regrets. This Surface works real well, maybe a tad better since battery life is great and the apps I use work real well.

This laptop is exactly what you expect from a first generation snapdragon version of the amazing surface series. This thing lasts a long time on the battery and does. It struggle with any daily tasks you throw at it. One caveat is that as others state in reviews this will “for now” have compatibility issues with some apps and processes due to the change from x86 to ARM architecture. Besides that this is an amazing work horse if you want a clean notebook.

This Surface Laptop is exactly what I needed for remote work and school. Setup was a breeze straight from Best Buy, and the performance has been rock solid. The Copilot+ integration saves me time with quick access to tools and chat responses. The 512GB storage gives plenty of room for files, photos, and applications. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around campus or to meetings, yet powerful enough for demanding work tasks. Battery life easily lasts all day — no need to hunt for outlets constantly. Best Buy’s service was excellent too. Highly recommend!

Sleek, sexy and solid. It’s been a while since I’ve felt this good with my PC. Battery life is a dream, and design is excellent for both form and function. I am no longer anxious when facing my lap top: instead? I fully look forward to it!

I really wanted a touchscreen laptop that also looked very nice and this laptop is definitely that. Sometimes I don’t want to use the mouse so having the touch screen is something I’m very used to. The look of it is so so nice, battery life is pretty prominent. I could use it all day and battery life would sustain it. I’ve had it for barely a month so I don’t know how it will be a year from now. I hope it’ll be worth the pay.

It is a bit smaller than my previous version. The screen does not detach but I found that I hardly ever used that feature anyway. Love the color. Performs well. Learning to use Copilot more.

Remember that frantic app dance? 'Uninstall Photoshop, Install Premiere Pro.  Those days are GONE!!  The storage on the Surface Laptop 7 is a game-changer, allowing me to fully utilize the many photo, video, and graphic design apps I have collected.  The battery keeps up with my creative flow, the performance is consistently impressive, and the display is stunning. Overall, this laptop has been a genuine delight.

    A Quality Laptop

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 is an attractive and well-rounded device that blends portability, performance, and sleek design. Design and Build Quality The Surface Laptop 7 exudes a premium feel with its aluminum chassis, which is both lightweight and stylish. The addition of the Alcantara fabric on some models adds a unique touch, though it may not age as gracefully as the all-metal unibody of a MacBook. Display The 13.8-inch PixelSense display is a standout feature with its 3:2 aspect ratio and sharp resolution (2256 x 1504). Colors are vibrant, and the touchscreen capability gives it an edge for creative tasks. Performance Powered by Intel’s 10th Gen processors, the Surface Laptop 7 delivers solid performance for everyday tasks, including multitasking and light creative work. Battery Life Microsoft advertises up to 11.5 hours of battery life, but real-world use typically lands closer to 8-9 hours, depending on usage. Port Selection One of the Surface Laptop 7’s limitations is its port selection, featuring only a USB-C (without Thunderbolt), a USB-A, and a Surface Connect port. While the inclusion of USB-A is appreciated for compatibility, the lack of m Keyboard and Trackpad The keyboard is comfortable with good travel, though it doesn’t quite match the precision and consistency of the MacBook’s Magic Keyboard. The glass trackpad on the Surface Laptop 7 is smooth and responsive, but it’s slightly smaller and less tactile compared to Apple’s industry-leading Force Touch trackpad. Conclusion The Surface Laptop 7 is a beautiful and functional laptop that shines for those seeking a Windows-based alternative in a premium design. It’s an excellent choice for users who value the flexibility of Windows and touchscreen support, Best For: Students, professionals, and creatives who want a premium Windows laptop.

Touch screen is as smooth as silk and the processing time is as quick as flash. Capable of performing every daily use. Diaplay quality if top notch and highly recommended if you are not trying to play game on a surface laptop.

I love the Surface Laptop. I have a Surface Pro for work and really like it, but I wanted to be able to use a computer in my lap. This is the best of both worlds. So easy to use. Love the touchscreen too. Definitely recommend.
