I have really been enjoying the performance and sleek design of this laptop. However, after almost two weeks of use, I just encountered a problem last night. There is very prominent crackling, static sounds coming from the built-in speakers, even at very low volume when I play music. I will be contacting Microsoft this morning to see if there is a quick fix; otherwise, I will be returning it later today. Unfortunately, I don't have the time these days to troubleshoot for hours over the phone, send it out for repair, or wait around at the store while a technician becomes available.

I love the sleek design of this laptop. I dont think i will ever not have a Windows computer again!

The Surface Laptop has come a long way. For our users that didn’t opt for a Mac, this is now the go-to unit folks love. It’s solid, and feels more like a traditional laptop than the Surface Pro which is clunky to use on a lap. If I weren’t tied to the Mac ecosystem this is the laptop I would be using. Yes, the components are soldered in and you can’t upgrade things yourself - what laptop can you do that with these days?

have purchased about 7 of these models for business. Solid laptop even the Core i5 and 8GB RAM model is suitable for mobile users doing Office and web-surfing, in addition, my users like "minimalistic" styling. The only issue I have is that this laptop only comes with (1) USB, yes it has USB-C but an additional standard USB woudl be a nice addition. Woudl recommened

Ease to use and setup. Charging should have been with type C instead of weird plug.

Solid laptop i5, 8 GB Ram, 512 GB SSD, solid laptop4. Came in as Windows 10 but during the setup, upgraded to Windows 11. It’s fast, sleek, light and powerful. I bought during Memorial Day weekend deal for $999.99 (original price $1299.99), good deal. Great for students or professionals. If you are a gamer, go for i7 processor and 16GB Ram.

Had excellent service from the associate that helped us make an informed decision with our purchase. Very knowledgeable and patient answering all of our MANY questions. As for the Laptop, love the look, feel, performance so far. Look forward to learning and utilizing all of its functions. Only reason for the 4 (instead of 5) stars was the sign in. I specifically asked if this Laptop had fingerprint sign in... it does not. It has biometric sign in. Wouldn't be a big deal if I hadn't asked specifically about fingerprint.

I got this laptop as I needed something super portable that could handle a standard workload, which for me is many open tabs while running Office programs in addition to streaming video calls all simultaneously. I have to say this exceptionally light little machine handles it all, while also fitting into my purse; which is a pro in itself. It is small and light enough so it is easy to tote around, I would think commuters of all kinds would appreciate that should we ever need to commute again. I also appreciate the touchscreen capability which makes you feel like you have more of the surface feel that you are looking for when you purchase a surface machine. The aluminum case is sturdy and feels really good in your hands and the sandstone color is gorgeous. I feel this is a great laptop for both personal and corporate use as the i5 processor and 8GB of RAM are enough to handle everything I have thrown at it thus far. I also like being able to unlock it with facial recognition and enjoy being able to charge it via USB-C as I always have one on me should I forget the charger (and I have). All in all, I think Microsoft did a great job with this machine and it can handle a lot of what I would consider standard use for many users like myself. It has the battery life, power, and quickness that we all need in an everyday laptop, while also being exceptionally light; this checks all my boxes and I am happy to have it.
