The company I work for requires a Windows computer, the software doesn't work on a Mac. When I first started I bought a very inexpensive laptop for what I thought would be the 2 or 3 days a year I'd work from home. And it was good enough for a couple of days a year. Little did I know I'd end up working from home permanently. Eventually that cheap laptop's shortcomings became too much. Slow performance, laggy cursor, unimpressive screen, etc. So I decided to invest in a new, better, laptop. This 15" Surface Laptop 5 ticked all the boxes for me. My needs are not extreme. A couple of browser windows open, each with a few tabs. A program that shows me 100 or so stock quotes that update in real time with charting. Occasional Word & Excel work. The screen quality on this computer is sharp and vivid, ram & storage are more than adequate for my needs, the battery lasts almost the whole day, the computer looks and feels elegant and there's no preinstalled bloatware. So far there has never been as much as a hiccup. I'm very pleased with this purchase

This is my first Microsoft Laptop and I must say my research paid off in deciding the Surface laptop. I wanted something sleek and modern, but also powerful enough to handle my daily personal computing needs. The best thing I like about it so far is its aluminum finish with perfect curves, slim design, soft keyboards that feel good when typing, and the bright screen. The OS is very responsive and I get into the desktop in no time from the time I lift the screen up. I use Spotify while I'm working and the inbuilt speakers have been performing well in playing my music. The only worry I have is if I get dents on the edges easily from my daily use, but I have to wait and see. So far it has been all a positive experience and I would definitely recommend Microsoft Surface laptop to others.

This computer is perfect for my business needs. Large, great quality screen, lightning fast, and lightweight. Will be a great work computer for years to come. Love the touchscreen feature too.

Great computer. A true workhorse. I wish it had Windows Pro 11 instead of home but the upgrade was enough. Great laptop for commuting with back and forth to the office!

Well in my opinion it is a new and renewed version and I say in my opinion why I would say that it has functions that did not exist in the previous ones and the previous ones do not appear. It's time to adapt to the new forms and but an excellent product.....

This laptop is so light. Weighs nothing. The battery last for deal days with constant use. The graphics are amazingly clear and bright. Its super fast!

The microsoft Surface 5 is a really good laptop for college students. The battery lasts a decent time and I love that it is touch screen. It's a very fast latop and charges veery quick. Very lightweight and sleek. My only con is that the screen has a minor glitch that happens about twice within 4 hours.

I own an older generation Surface Pro and needed an upgrade. I needed something similar with a bigger screen and the Surface Laptop 5 has been exactly what I need. Light weight, fast, solid technology. I don't miss using the device like a tablet at all and the touch screen is better than what was on the older gen Surface Pro I have. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.

After reviewing many options I settled on the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 and I'm glad I did. The screen is great for everyday use, the battery life is sufficient, this is a great laptop for productivity and office usage as well as average home usage, handles streaming well and can even handle light gaming with decent graphics for a non-gaming laptop. My only complaint is I would have like to have seen a higher quality webcam.

Laptop was easy to set up and very good quality. Nice features with some of the new software. My first laptop with a touch screen so I am enjoying that very much. Durable but lightweight and great for travel. The processor speed is excellent/very quick.

Very slick computer. I have an older, smaller Microsoft Surface Notebook (4 yrs old), and this one is faster and I like the larger screen better. Now that I've got to wear readers, this screen is much easier to see what I'm reading. Hoping the battery holds up better too!
