Customers are saying

Customers praise the Surface Laptop Go's ease of use, light weight, and compact size, finding it ideal for portability. Many appreciate the responsive touchscreen and generally positive performance, although some note the fan can be loud at times and the device may get warm. The battery life is also frequently cited as a positive. While storage capacity is a concern for some, others find the price reasonable.

Computer is light weight and easy to set up and use. Charger that came with computer did not work and Best Buy was absolutely no help in getting a replacement!

Power source cord or core or something malfunction. It stopped working after three months. Took good care of it because I am still paying on it but definitely didn’t last even though it was cared for super well. Geek Squad had it repaired but they didn’t tell me when I’d it back or what was actually wrong with it. I thought the whole thing with the laptop was unreliable. It also heats up way too fast.

    Microsoft Surface - not happy

While I like the size and weight and function when it works, overall I'm not a big fan. Power cord doesn't stay attached and rather than avoiding damage this way - my cord damaged within a week. Then less than 8 months after purchase the laptop started stalling, going to a black screen and not rebooting easily numerous times in 3 days, then would not pass the windows screen for over 24 hours no matter what I tried. It has been sent in for repair or replacement - replacement should be in order since the laptop is not damaged and stopped with less than a year's minimal use since I use a desktop when I'm in my office and this is just for on the go.

3 Star is all i can give. One star less for not having a Keyboard backlit with this price range. And one star less for battery life and fun noise. I needed a windows machine for my computer class however, this is not something like my Mac pro.

My older surface laptop 1769 crashed on me and I needed a replacement. Bought this when this first came out. It’s an okay purchase but with what I paid, I probably could of got something else with more features for the price or even cheaper.

Could have been a great laptop if only the laptop had better cooling that prevented the cpu fan from turning on loudly. Maybe in future make the entire shell out of aluminum or sometype of metal to act as a good heat sink.

This was my first ever laptop and it fit all my needs. I needed it for college. It does everything a basic laptop would and has a touch screen which is a plus! I also love how compact it is and lightweight.

    Overall great and simple product

First off, I want to talk about how great the Microsoft Surface looks and it runs so smoothly. The Microsoft surface is sleek and easily portable. It comes with a MagSafe charger that locks into the charging port for a fast and easy charge. You can customize the background and lock-screen with personal photos. It also has a fingerprint scanner for easy access when logging in. It comes with a search button for easy access to the internet for any questions you may have. This is the first laptop I’ve ever bought and I’ve been happy with my purchase. I’ve enjoyed how easy it has been to use this product and how simple it is. I've had only one problem with it since i've received it. I tried turning it on, but it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it up, I tried pressing/holding the power button, and I tried turning, closing, and opening it up again to no avail. Eventually after a couple of minutes of panic and fear that my laptop had just given up on me, but it finally had turned on. When you first open the laptop it welcomes you and takes you through the steps of setting up your account. This makes the tedious process of setting up your laptop and accounts; an easy process. Microsoft Surface is a great laptop for multiple uses, like office work, school, gaming, etc. It's an extremely diverse laptop with multiple features and abilities. One thing I don't really care for is the MagSafe charger, only because it slips out with a light tug from the cord. So you might come back to a dead laptop just because you accidentally tripped over the cord without noticing. I like to play games on it in my free time; so I have a slight problem with how the fan gets a little loud trying to keep the laptop cool. Though I try to keep in consideration that this isn't a gaming laptop. As far as work features, I've used the Microsoft touch to do my homework and driving school. It works very well and the keyboard layout is very nice in my opinion. In conclusion, it's a great laptop for those who don't want a laptop that only does one thing. I genuinely enjoy this product and hopefully, it stays that way throughout my use of it. I will come back and edit this review if that isn't the case but for now, this laptop gets a 4 out of 5 from me. Only because the one time it wont turn on and how easy it is for the charger to fall out.

I was very excited to get this computer, but after a couple weeks the finger reader wont read my finger and it has recently started freezing up occasionally. Little irritating, good thing I got insurance.

comes with 10s which will prevent you from downloading any program that is not made by Microsoft - not even Google Chrome or Firefox and Windows 11- you can unlock it though.

It’s alright. The battery is not nearly as long lasting as it says. I followed the instructions of not over charging it and it was still ehh. I do like it though apart from battery life.

This is the worst laptop I have ever used. I had to get a new one of the same model 3 times because first the system would keep restarting and the screen would freeze, second one the screen kept glitching and looking all pixel like, lastly this one won’t charge now and I only had it a little over a month. Mind, I got all three of these laptops within the last 2 months. Never. Again.
