This is one of the better products Microsoft has produced in the past few years. I do have concerns however about the longevity of the screen hinge but only time will tell. The machine machine is quick and responsive so no problems there. It is a little pricey so it falls into the Apple competition hence the good vs excellent rating.

Outstanding laptop for students!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liked just about everything pertaining to laptop but had to return it for three reasons. First, no microSD care slot. Second, no HDMI port. I could live with the first two reasons. But the third reason, combined with the first two reasons, became a deal-breaker. Since I use my laptop as my desktop, the screen mode that interested me the most was being about to flip the screen over away from the keyboard and use the laptop as a desktop hooked to an external monitor. Unfortunately, the screen did not hold that position and would immediately flip over to the keyboard side of the laptop. This caused me to question the longevity of the SLS's hinge. This shortcoming is unfortunate because the build quality, keyboard, trackpad, display, fan noise, and battery life were all great. I was able to run YouTube continuously for over 12 hours with screen brightness at 40%, wifi and battery saver on, Bluetooth off, and refresh rate at 120hz. Also, the SLS's speakers are AMAZING. Finally, Geekbench 5.4 single-core scores were in the mid-1400s and multi-core scores were between 5400s and 5500s. For those who don't share my use-case, this particular SLS is a great laptop IF you can get it on sale or as an open-box item like I did ($1155).

This laptop is amazing when paired with the Microsoft Surface Slim Pen 2. System for having onboard memory and an i5 is very responsive. Also love how the pen will attach and charge itself.

The screen clarity is amazing. Compact and perfect for uni.

So far love the device. Windows 11 takes a bit to get use to, and I removed 1 start as the taskbar does not allow all the customization that windows 10 did. It's a bit too big and takes up too much reinstate in my opinion. This device feels like microsofts take on the macbook and they have come real close to it!

This is a powerful laptop; it is super-fast and modernized. About the same specs as the Surface Book, but fewer ports. Though I still have my Surface Book (NVIDIA) of which I so love, I feel like in this day and age it is imperative to have a great back up computer that is up for whatever and this is one is mine. I feel quite confident for any all unexpectant events with this device by my side. I only wish for the price the pen came with it, as the original surface books did.

The clerk was not very helpful. I purchased the warranty but received no information or documentation. I asked if the computer came in any other colors. I got a fast no. I don't think he even checked, .

I would like to give this 5 stars, but the keyboard is buggy. The space bar doesn’t work unless you tap it pretty hard. I have had great experiences out of my other Microsoft Surface laptops until this one. Out of all of the laptops using Microsoft, the Surface wins, hands down, in almost all categories. I was in need of an additional laptop and was intrigued by the versatile screen and keyboard. The other Surface laptops that I own have the detachable screen. This one folds to make a tablet. It’s a little heavier but works great. I believe that if I can get the space bar to work better I’ll enjoy this one as well.

Excellent laptop for casual work and entertainment. The laptop can be utilized in multiple ways, this is a great option if you are a microsoft hardware fan.

Great battery life, speedy and nice backlit keyboard. Touchpad is the best I have ever used and videos look great. Also like the different configurations for the display, have used all depending on the situation. Came with Windows 11 and setup was easy and pulled my settings from my Microsoft account. It's a little on the heavy side and have had a small ongoing issue with audio switching from speakers to headphones

This computer is everything they say it is! It's easy to navigate and fast processor. The only thing is the battery life and how hot it gets.

This laptop is absolutely perfect. It's flexible, light, and powerful. Everything a small business owner needs to carry out operations.
