Screen Sharing doesn't impress me, so I use this to stream content for video subscriptions (not available through TV Apps), and it works well. There IS a slight delay visible between the 2 screens, so angle the Surface away slightly. One somewhat significant drawback - I haven't seen a 'universal' connector solution from MS, so you are required to purchase each connector type separately...can get expensive quick!

I gave it 4 stars due to the price. You can purchase off brands that work just as well as the microsoft brand for a fraction of the price. Just so happen the client that it was purchased for wanted the Microsoft brand because it makes them feel more comfortable knowing they are using it with a surface.
