I bought this because I use a Surface Pro for work which is great for its portability I can take it on job sites and do work while I'm sitting monitoring a crew. But not so great when I'm in the office all day now I have a nice big monitor to look at

You'll need this to use with Mixed Reality HMD

It works as described. I use it to also attach an external monitor to my Surface Pro 6 (using the monitor's HDMI port). I had some issues with using it with an older monitor, though -- it may have something to do with this adapter supporting HDMI 2.0 and my older monitor doesn't handle HDMI 2.0 properly because it doesn't support it.

Great picture quality

The adapter delivered perfect video quality, usually adapters would downgrade the resolution but this unit didn’t do that. Great for tv or projector hdmi connection.

Over Priced but worth it

A Must Have for Certain Uses

That being said, it has turned out to be a very useful device for attaching my Surface Pro 4 tablet to my entertainment system. I use this connect to view Zoom sessions and HBO Max on my HDTV via a connection to my pre amp. It works very well with good picture and sound quality.
