I'm referring to Microsoft, not Best Buy. That being said, I was able to purchase this adapter cable on sale from Best Buy.

Great but not necessary

That's the only reason it's not worth buying and the 4 start rating

I am sure it may work well if you have the right part I may have had the wrong one.

Simple item to do simple things

It is a little on the more expensive side but your getting a Microsoft product instead of a unknown source.

It's lamentable how you need proprietary accessories for Surface products just as you need Apples headphone adapters to plug in wired headphones.
