The additional level of detail is fantastic as opposed to previous pens. This has no equal. My only issue is that after spending so much for a Surface - I felt the pen should have been included. However, if you are used to using the pen, then it is worth the additional $100.

However, there is an issue where it blacks out the screen when it comes in contact that Microsoft needs to sort out.

It is magnetized to snap to the side of the Surface and I like the design. One thing though it will not stay attached in a backpack.

I prefer the feel of the writing tip of the Surface pen over that of the iPencil. The magnetic hold could be a bit stronger.
