Writes smooth. It is way better than other pens that say they work with a surface. I works very well with my old surface pro 3 that I bought used with a defective pen. After buying this pen it works like a new machine now.

LOVE IT! Originally owned the pen that came with my surface pro 4. I hesitated to purchase this pen - not knowing it it would be any different then the one that i already had. Am so glad I decided to roll the dice because this pen has much less lag - virtually 0.. The tip writes naturally and the eraser is rubberized slightly to prevent scratches to the screen (which was always a concern to me) Love it - glad I bought it and recommend it to anyone with a SP4.

I have been having my Suraface Go with keyboard, mouse, and pen for a few months now and absolutely love then pen!! It doesn’t feel awkward in your hand and I love to use it to bring up the whiteboard and for screenshots. It is smooth and easy to use. I am buying another because my niece came over a few weeks and I did the mistake of leaving everything in the open. I flipped my house upside down and cannot for the life of me find it and I need it. So I hope to take better care of this one :)

Works great. Just like writing with a real pen. Connects easy and doesn't have lags.

I believe someone who is interested in touch displays, and specifically Surface devices in our case, would love to have this pen. It is smooth, powerful, and feels good in general. If you own Surface Pro, Surface Book or Surface Studio, this is wonderful to have. If you have Surface Laptop like me, then it might not be worthwhile as you cannot use your display in tablet mode, which makes it a bit more difficult to type.

This pen is a must! I love using digital planners and this pen works perfectly.

After a few years of use the pen started getting extremely buggy. It would still be connected to my surface because the buttons would work, but I was unable to actually write with it at all. The only thing that would fix it would be to reboot my Surface, which would fix the issue for some time. Could be a few minutes, could be a few hours. Extremely annoying to suddenly be unable to take notes during a lecture until you reboot your device which takes a couple of minutes. When it does work however, it’s a great experience. I like the programmable button, I like that it acts as an eraser, and I like the variety of replaceable pen tips. The battery life is also excellent, having only replaced the battery just once in the 6+ years I’ve owned it.

Awesome pen! Writes perfectly. Only complaint is that the tip is super brittle. One drop and it's either bent, broken, or both. So minus 2 stars for being so cheap on the tip area.

Great item and works marvelously with Surface products. Only issue is it is really easy to lose.

I've had my "pencil" for about a month now and I enjoy it, so intuitive I love being able to erase what I drew just by turning it over to the eraser side hence why I called it a pencil, pens don't have erasers lol

I only use this for my signature but from what I understand it is also great for artistic endeavors. It is expensive but is worth it. It seamlessly connects to my surface pro... I didn't have to do a thing!

Pen works great. It's just really expensive. If you can afford this, then it's worth it in my opinion, or find it on sale.

Handy to say the least. You can set up several shortcuts. Magnet is fairly strong. Though I would not rely on it staying on the machine while on the move.

Used for online classes, reading pdfs, and highlighting. Great for simplyfying studying. Also helped reduce amount of printing needed. Strongly recommend.

Was skeptical about this, given that I had tried an Apple Pencil a while back with my iPad and was less than impressed. Since moving to a Surface, this pen caught my attention. Feels natural in the hand, writing is smooth, and the weight is perfect. Love the controls, and the fact that the magnet attaches it right to the side of my Surface. I use it more all the time. If you're on the fence, don't be. This is a well designed and thought out product. Good job, Microsoft!
