    Super disappointed

So first I bought the wacom ink pro but it glitches so bad that makes it hard to draw cause it clicks random stuff. I decided to but the surface pen slim , at first it works perfectly fine no glitches, no lags but then it run out of charge so I plug it in but it’s not charging. I tried everything I even thought it’s full charge so I tried reconnecting the pen but it’s not working. I ended up getting this instead but ended up just like the wacom it’s glitching so bad. I’m so tired of going back to best buy because it’s a bit far from where we live. I don’t know why it’s happening cause I’ve read all the comments and it works perfectly for some people even if they use a different laptop like hp. It’s my first pen stylus that could help me draw easier and now I’m super frustrated that I don’t feel like drawing digitally anymore.

A Must-Have Accessory for Surface Owners

I recently purchased the Microsoft Surface Pen in black and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. The pen is incredibly responsive and writes smoothly on the screen, making it a breeze to jot down notes or draw. The pressure sensitivity allows for a more natural writing experience, and the eraser function is a convenient touch. Overall, the Surface Pen is a must-have accessory for anyone with a Microsoft Surface device.

    Squabble lines , broken tip.

3 weeks into having my pen, the tips breaks. Went to buy new tips. Now when I draw, all my lines look like lightning bolts. Not one is straight. I'm so over this pen. Tried changing the battery, resetting sensitivity, thought it was just me, so I took it in so the geek squad can check it out. They didn't know what was wrong with it. Did updates, nothing. Tried it on other drawing apps. Same thing. When I use my finger, it's fine. I guess I lost out on a hundred bux and my surface pro at $2500 is now just a paper weight vecause i can draw with it.

    Unstable and unreliable.

I've had this product for nearly two years, and I can say I've experienced what the pen can offer. Ever since the beginning, the pen has never worked, and lines are extremely jagged, jittery, and poor overall. I'm an illustrator, and for years I thought I couldn't draw, when in reality, this pen is poorly made, has severe driver and software issues, upon much more. Sometimes the pen is divine, only to stop working for months on end with no explanation. Lines go from being normal to "glitchy", becoming dotted, sporatic, jagged, etc. I've gone through every means of fixing the issue that microsoft recommends, but it's painfully obvious that across the board, everyone who uses this pen for digital art (or something similar) constantly experiences issues with this pen that seemingly cannot be fixed. You may be able to get away with taking notes every so often with this pen, but if you are a content creator who would use this on a daily basis, then STAY AWAY. Reddit is full of artists seeking help and advice as this pen repeatedly fails on them, and Microsoft does little/nothing to fix the issue. Definitely buying an ipad and apple pencil in the future, as this device has set me back years in artistic progress that I can not get back.

The pen is the best pen you can get for the surface, I do not question that. The problem is that ones for 75% less do 95% of what it does for typical use. I can not see ever spending the amount of money I did again on the pen. great pen, way overpriced.

I loved this pen right up until the battery needed to be changed. It prompted me with about a 2 minute warning the battery was low and then it just stopped working right in the middle of a class I was teaching. I replaced the battery and now it won't turn on at all.

Lasted one day before it quit writing, reset, restarted, reloaded firmware drivers, checked battery, ran diagnostics and spoke with support. After searching online seems to be somewhat common

End up having to buy a new one about every 3 to 4 months, repairing and professional Microsoft help still can't get it to work. All the buttons work, but the tip just eventually stops responding. I'm in about $500 worth of pens over 3 years not. I stopped trying to fix the ones I have because it cost more in professional help; I just smash them on concrete and buy another one. Great plan to take all my money though! NEVER remove the tip for any reason, the pen will immediately never write again, but all the buttons/pairing will work.

The first one i bought stopped working after 2-3 uses. Then the next one i bought used about 10 times and stopped working. These pens are trash and the warranty is trash. I will buy off brand from now on because they're 3rd the cost and worked way longer.

First, these used to be 60$ two years ago. Now they are pushing $100 for the pen, way to Apple it Microsoft. The pen is alright, but the pairing needs work. The clicks and other commands are hard to use. Sometimes they don't even work. I bought a new pen to still have the same problem. So there was actually nothing wrong with my other pen. I have tried pairing again and they work shortly but then it stop opening One Note. It's frustrating and for $100 isn't a fair experience for that price.

      Hi Dave,

We're sorry you are not satisfied with your recent purchase of the Surface Pen. We are always working hard to make improvements for our customers, so we highly value your feedback. The Surface Go was designed to pair with the Surface Pen just like any other device in the Surface line, we're sorry you're having issues with Windows Ink. It's possible you may need to switch out of Windows 10 S mode, and into Windows 10 Home Edition in order to access all of the compatible apps for Windows Ink. See how to make the switch for free here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4456067/windows-10-switch-out-of-s-mode.

For the money I spent on the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 package (tablet, keyboard, Arc mouse, and Surface pen - about $1,500) you would think that they could ship a pen with a new battery in it so that it works right out of the box. My pen was dead on arrival and now I have to risk going to a store amid a pandemic for 1 AAAA battery. I am so sorry that I went with this company and this product line.
