I considered a few generic ones approved by Microsoft but the reviews discouraged me and I am glad they did. I got this pen a bit cheaper than the usual price and it was worth every cent. If you are an artist or an avid note-taker, buy the Microsoft pen. The only drawback that I gope Microsoft fixes, is that it needs a battery.
