As the Microsoft Store adds additional apps that support the pen, I believe i will be worth the money.

The first pen we had worked great until it stopped responding to our surface tablet. The first one lasted about a year. Hopefully it was defective because at this price point it is not worth it to buy a new pen annually. We will see how this new pen performs. As a side note I find it silly that this pen is sold at dramatically different prices depending on which color you choose. If you don't care about the color do yourself a favor and choose the cheapest option.
