    Although you can use the surface just fine without the pen it does open up a lot of function on the device. Drawing and annotating is very easy and smooth. The erase function is very nice along with the strong magnet attachment.

    Great pen, wonderful sensitivity, easy to lose (personal problem). The pen loses battery more quickly when not magnetically docked, and if you’re always on the go with the surface book in tablet mode (as I am for work) it can become dislodged when bumped. I’m on pen number 4 in 3 years and just went ahead and purchased them in bulk for a discount this time.

    I love the stylus. It was a very easy process to conect to my device, it is very slim which I consider a pro. Theres barely any lag when writing, perfect for note taking.
