I'm sure this is fine, but I haven't used it. It all started when I had a midterm exam for my online course that I am taking. I have to take this through ProctorU so I need to be in an empty room so they can say I'm not cheating. Anyways, went to work early to use our quiet room. Go through all the steps to take the test and then the question, do you have a surface laptop and stylus pen to take the exam. No I don't. Well you can't take this exam. Panicking, I email my professor, talk to my boss and he says I think IT has a surface laptop you can use. Talk to IT, they do, just no stylus pen, SO over lunch go to Best Buy to get the pen, come back, try and take the exam again, go through all those hoops, get passes the surface pro and pen question, get logged in to take the exam, then as I read the instructions, I noticed that there is no link to the PDF my Professor meant to download, I talk to the Proctor person, they say yep you have no link you can't take the exam. I email my professor, Proctor emails them, the exam turns into a HW assignment, Never had a chance to use this, but maybe come finals. Fingers crossed!

So I got this basically because it was a good deal and my case came with a pen holder anyway. Didn’t think I’d have much use, but better to have it now then pay full price when needed later. I have used it every day for work notes. Great way to save some paper and deciliter my desk. The handwriting recognition works great. I like that you can perform 3 functions based on how you click the top, plus the “eraser” end actually erases! Very worth it.

Love this thing - makes using the Surface Pro as easy as one could hope. Charge lasts a long time - simply amazing.

Yep, its a pen for your computer. Feels nice, Would rather only spend $30 on these stupid things. But its nice.

The red pen stands out and is easier for me to keep track of. It works great just like the Microsoft Pro it is attached to.

I decided to return this item in favor of the new Slim Pen 2, but for those who just want a functional and affordable option in a stylish color, the Surface Pen's still a very good choice. It's kind of weird for them to use AAAA batteries, but each one lasts for an oddly long time and can be found at most drug stores. Those who might have an older Surface and don't want to invest in the cost of the Slim Pen AND charger will still get a lot of use out of this version, some might find the cylindrical shape more comfortable.

Pen works really well and the button performs multiple functions which is great. I think it's a little expensive but does work really well with the surface pro.

My work switched to Surface laptops and originally I bought a alternate brand of pen. But, it would skip and not slways record ink which I needed for my PowerPoints. Sent ahead and got this pen and it works beautifully with the Surface laptop.

Pen is very responsive and accurate. It's weight makes it feel durable and it magnetically attaches to surface with a strong hold

Quality of pen very good & is battery operated so there’s no charging of this device. Not sure time frame of use as have only had it a few weeks. Family loves to draw & paint with it !

Microsoft took everything good about the original and beefed it up. This now includes a lot more functionality, putting it on par with the Apple Pencil, has battery life that kicks its Apple competition out of the park.

Like the pen feels like a regular one, does feel bulky. Only thing I would love for the magnet to be a bit bigger or stronger, it falls from the surface pro pretty easily

This pen works flawlessly with my surface pro. Coming from an iPad Pro, this pen actually feels smooth and realistic. It is amazing!

This works well with my Samsung laptop. It is easy to use and lasts long on batteries. I use it to draw in tablet mode.

While searching for a cheaper alternative solution for a pen for my Surface Pro 7, I had all intentions of purchasing a non-Microsoft brand because of price. While shopping at the Best buy store, I walk past the Microsoft pens in the display and the ice blue color caught my eye immediately. So I decided to purchase Microsoft because of this color.

Bought Microsoft Surface Pen in a vibrant RED color. LOVE IT! Smooth on Microsoft Surface. Great Investment!!

Love that it attaches to the Surface Pro 6 and does not need to be charged. Easy to use to write or just point and click.
