I bought one of these to pair with my Surface Pro because ... well, I can't really say why I bought it. I've used it a couple of times to take notes in a meeting, I'm not entirely sure it's any better than pen and paper for that purpose. But this is about the product itself. It's weighted nicely, feels natural to write with. The magnet is strong and the pen only pops off the side if it knocks into something. For me, it turned out to be more of a novelty than necessity, but if you really need a pen for your Pro, it works great for that.

Purchased pen to use instead of mouse when on the road and found it very useful, made me start using it more in writing and drawing.

This is my favorite thing of all!!!!! My teacher for my online math class recommended to get the actual surface pen and I did and I can see why. I love doing my homework on my surface because this pen is like butter it's so smooth and perfect. I will zoom the screen in when I write because I love how neat it makes my handwriting look, I think that's the key to good tablet writing. Zoom in and write normal, then zoom out and be amazed at how beautiful it all looks!!

I use this with my Surface Pro 6 and it feels great to use. The writing is smooth and the eraser function is handy when taking notes or drawing. Connect to Surface Pro device Bluetooth if you want to access more functions One dislike I have is that getting different pen tips requires you to buy a pack somewhere. The default pen tip is nice, but using the Apple pen feels way smoother. On the other hand, the Surface pen has access to different tips; they're just sold separately.

This pen is very smooth on the surface pro. There was no lag when drawing and writing with it. It is a great product.

I found that switching from a keyboard to handwriting notes really helped my performance in school because I like writing things down to learn. However, I never used a pen like this one before because I thought I was only going to want to use a keyboard, but I was wrong and switch between both of them. This is great for people that want the enhancements that technology brings to notes but also want to be able to write their notes down. So helpful!

First experience with a pen. Seems to work well with the Surface Pro 7 and is a nice color, especially when paired with the same color keyboard.

This pen works right out of the box, and allows you to do so much with the Microsoft Surface products.

I feel like this item is probably a good idea for someone that draws or something like that.....Otherwise, you definitely do not need to buy this. I bought this about a year and a half ago now, and I have taken out of the box to check it out, play with the quality, and then when it comes time to actually use the computer I literally have zero use for a haha. So basically, learn from my mistakes and don't buy this unless you actually draw or something haha

It writes smoothly and accurately on my Surface Pro 7, even better than any Wacom tech that I've used.

Really top notch! I have used it extensively with built-in Whiteboard and it is wonderful - you essentially use the combination of Surface and Pen as the best substitute for note taking, quick sketches, etc. It replaces you paper notes/sketches in a way I never thought would feel SOOO natural. And some features (like using the back end of the pen to erase) are so natural that you discover them on your own, without reading any guide.

A must buy when getting a surface pro, this makes it easy and fun to use in the tablet mode and take notes

Works better than the Apple pencil. Love that you can flip it over and use it like an eraser
