great point and line accuracy. Not like drawing with a big rubber tip I had for the "other pad". Naturalistic response make accurate and fast drawing possible.

If you are free forming graphics which the Surface performs well at then it is a need to have instead of a nice to have. If you looking to shave costs as this is sold seperately you can skip now and see if the need arises depending on your use.

Got a Surface 4 and the pen was for a Surface 3. At the store they told me it would work on my Surface 4. Guess what?.. noppes! Did not work. So i teturn it.. easely. Thank you Best Buy

I don't use this a whole lot on mu surface, but i can see other peope usinging it all the time. it doesnt add anything to the surface for me, i could do without it if i had to

This is the actual pen that comes with the Surface Pro 3. I just wish they would come out with more colors...and as soon as I bought this, 2 weeks later they came out in colors thus I returned this product and purchased a black one...which I absolutely love

I bought this pen as an extra spare for my new Surface Pro 3 cause when you need it you can never find it. Feels like a real pen and works great.

Recently got the Surface 3 and wanted to try the pen for use with OneNote. Works fantastic - love being able to write on the screen and have it recognize my bad handwriting. Only wish it came bundled. Other than that, no regrets.

I thought it was almost a necessity to purchase this with the Surface 3, but after a few months I find that I rarely use the surface pen.

This is a great tool, great for note taking and art. So much more natural than using a mouse or even a graphics tablet.

A Must for the surface .. Be careful with it for it is fragile, I broke my first one just by it dripping on the ground but over all very cool little pen. It's features are awesome

I do a lot of Excel work, and use a Surface Pro exclusively. When this stylus works it is like magic. Don't even think of using a Surface without one, especially if you work in Excel. My silver stylus works great, but I have a red stylus that has to be reset about once an hour. (Neither is the original. Dog ate that one and I found out how impossible it is to use Surface without a stylus)

I had stepped in store to get it but they didn't have it in store. but they were able to take my order and get it delivered to my office directly. that's just very convenient. awesome job. thanks.

Paired easily and worked as expected with the Surface 3. However, I found the learning curve to try to use the right-click and erase options to be a little steep.
