This product is so much better than an iPad for work use. I can actually do everything for my job on it and wouldn't need my laptop for anything while on the road. Would have been nice for it to have a swappable battery since it doesn't last all day and no broadband card is a bit inconvenient but I just tether Internet from my phone for now.

Bought it to use for business. It's been great so far. Gets a little warm with use. I love that I can use it as a full computer rather than just apps like on my tablet. Bought it at a good price. Wish they came with a keyboard but when I need to use a keyboard and mouse at my desk I just use plug my wireless receiver into the USB and my external one works great.

Personally, it's a great buy for the price. You need to get the full 64-bit version to truly enjoy it's performance. Portability is a key issue with me, so this fits the bill. I can run Windows 7 in a virtual environment on Windows 8 with great ease. Definitely a Five-Star product!

Easy to use tablet just like a normal laptop or desktop. Good size not so small where you can't see what you are doing and not so big where is makes it not portable. Combines both tablet and laptop in one which would save you money instead of buying both. Can be easily hooked to a keyboard which turns it into a fully functional laptop. By far best tablet pc for traveling and for busy people that are always on the Go..

I dumped my iPad a week after getting my Surface Pro. I'll donate it to a day care or Senior Citizens center. I was seriously looking at the Android Samsung Galaxy tablets, but just found it to be under powered, buggy and Google Doc's is cumbersome. Surface Pro is a real computer with elegant full featured functionality. It was the simplest computer I have ever setup and get fully operational. Office 365 is the way to go. The tablet itself is perfect size with a great look and feel quality, including the mechanical keyboard. I still can't get over that it's able to do everything I throw at it. This is the perfect work / play device.

I grabbed the Surface Pro to replace my laptop and make traveling while working easier. The Surface Pro fits the bill with the only real annoying issues being the kickstand and the battery life. Beyond those two issues I really enjoy the Surface Pro.

My son goes to high school and has his own photography business. With the surface he can take it to school all day and then out on a photo shoot without having to worry about low battery life. He can load programs such as the Office Suite and use that for both school and business. Because its a touch screen, he can have clients review and sign their contracts on screen and immediately email them a copy. Because it has a usb port, he can plug in a credit card swiper and take payments 'in the field' as well. Its a lot easier to carry around than my 17" laptop but does everything my laptop can do with a better battery life!

I've had this item for about a moth now, and i have had absolutely no problems with it. if you have used windows 8 before its really easy to use, if not might take just a little bit of getting used to. screen can track all ten fingers and it is easy to type. the stylus that comes with it is great especially if you dont feel like typing you can write.

This is a great idea to have such a portable size computer to be able to do everything....not like a tablet that only does things in ios or andorid, but fully functional to run software applications like windows office, quicken, adobe cs6...etc. Even though it is small, I wish it would be a bit lighter and slightly bigger screen, but these are minor issues compared to the total benefits of the surface. I feel I can take it anywhere.

Great product, Microsoft took everything that people originally didn't like about the iPad and put into this device. Tablet form factor with the full functionality of a laptop. Its not perfect by any means, but I'm very satisfied with the purchase. I love the stylus functionality. Cons: average battery life, but better than reported. Keyboard is difficult to use unless your on a solid surface like a desk or laptop board. Some bugs that need to be worked out. Nothing show stopping.

The Microsoft Surface Pro tablet is a great work tool. It does everything an iPad does't do so well...like 1) has a great built-in kickstand so you don't have to carry around a portable stand 2) has a great detachable keyboard/cover 3) It runs Windows which means you have access to Windows Explorer and a file system! 4) It runs Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and 5) It has a USB port - great for file transfers!

My old, but awesome, laptop was getting up there in age and started becoming slow to use. I am a graphic designer and use a few design applications to do my work. I was able to install my software and get to work on my drawings and illustrations very quickly. I love the connectivity to my desktop pc as well. The pen writes well, but I know there are probably compatible alternatives if you want something else. It's also a bit on the heavy side, but not bad. I usually have it propped up or flat anyway. There are a couple issues on the software side in relation to the display drivers and working in Photoshop, but I issume an update will come. But overall, I am so sold on this tablet. I use it everyday for work, play, and everything in between. I don't even miss my laptop.

The touch screen interface of Windows 8 is very good (after I adapted to learning something new) and very responsive on this PC. The stylus makes interface with desktop apps and legacy Windows utilities (e.g. Control Panel) usable without a keyboard or mouse. The handwriting input and recognition is excellent. Finding things by using search is very good, especially when looking for Windows features and settings.

This is the full version of Windows 8 instead of the RT version in other Surface tablets. With a Intel core i5 processor. It has plenty of power to do just about anything. The biggest drawbacks are though it isn't the lightest tablet and the battery life isn't great at all. I did wish it came with the keyboard case but it doesn't. I will probably be getting the power keyboard cover that adds more battery capacity.

    Best Tablet by far

The Surface outperforms every Android or iPad tablet on the market today. The pen system and handwriting recognition works better than my old Galaxy Tab. the i5 chip allows for more applications to be run, and performs like a miniature desktop PC. The Pro System is the best tablet for connecting to Windows based networks and domains. The only problem I see lies with the Metro Screen, which, is easily bypassed. The bad reviews are due to either Apple fans who are unable to see Microsoft in a better light than Apple, or the people who have problems with the Metro interface. I love this Surface.

I was surprised how fast the Surface computer was and the capability of doing everything I wanted. I travel a lot and it is so much easier to take on trips when it is light and easy to carry - same size as an iPad. I am very pleased with this product.
