Easy to use on your lap with the stand
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great device. I like the size and really like the adjustable stand. It has great resolution. It is as good as my high def TV. It is heavier than a tablet, but is great for the fact that you are carrying around a computer. Microsoft has a bit to be desired in the app arena. I hope they work on getting up to date with them soon. I am glad I bought this device.

Like it so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this for about two months. It works well for most everything I need. The integration with the applications I use regularly is generally very good. I have a couple of applications that will not run now or ever on RT and their corresponding apps for the iPad & Android tablets are not very good, but the full programs work just fine on the Surface Pro. It is basically an Intel i3 laptop, so it runs everything at or faster than my ipad3 or Asus tablet The cons I have: Battery Life: The new Pro2 is a lot better on the battery. The Pro however get's me about hours if I'm using it normally. If I use it much harder the battery life quickly drops to 3 hours. Google Calendar: The Google Calendar will not bi-directionally sync with the built in calendar app. This is an issue with Microsoft & Google and hopefully will be resolved one day. In the mean time there are some workarounds, but nothing I particularly care for. Crossover Apps: The big-time apps, Pandora, Evernote, Facebook, etc. are available from the Microsoft store and work well, but there are always a few differences between them and their versions on iOS & Android, but work just fine. But, games and smaller company built apps are not often available in the Microsoft Store, so if you have a favorite game/app that you & friends & family use often, you may want to check to see if it's available in the Microsoft store, if the Surface is going to be you main tablet.

Next evolution pastnthe ipad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved my ipads, all three of them...but I traded my last one in for store credit to buy this. Beats the MacBook air across all specs and fields, battery life included. Also is a touchscreen, and has windows 8 which is awesome. The kickstand is hugely useful. I was surprised to find out how much I use the pen input. Great for reading and movies. Will run games (SWTOR) without a problem. USB, SD card slot, good WiFi, TPM 1.2, pptp VPN support... . this is my daily personal machine and the new love of my business travel life. And I can get office on it, unlike the iPad.

Excellent Tablet\Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for the full Windows experience in a tablet form. I originally looked at the Surface Pro 2, but found this on closeout. The difference between the Surface Pro and the Pro 2 was a newer generation processor and longer battery life. For the price difference, I took a chance and tried it......and I love it. I feel the battery life is sufficient and within expectations. I get 3-4hrs on a charge. I purchased the 128Gb solid state drive edition and was happy to find that you can add a micro sd card for additional storage. I have had this Surface Pro for over a month now and am not sorry I made this purchase. I will give a shout out to Best Buy. Although I did not need it at this time, Best Buy will happily match pricing from major retailer (including Internet). Definitely the reason I purchase from them.

So easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a great product. I needed something in between my laptop and my iPad. Something easy to take with but still have all the programs I need to use. This fits the bill perfectly. I purchased the optional keyboard which is good for doing my reports, but not really needed for most other programs. I'm used to typing on my iPad. I'm pleased with this product.

Great Tablet Laptop Hybrid
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great tablet laptop hybrid. It is fast, easy to use with a great screen. It is expensive for a tablet but it is worth the money as it works to replace both a tablet and a laptop.

Full laptop capability in a small package.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The surface pro is a truly ground breaking product allowing you to run anything just like your typical laptop. The touchscreen and portability make this even better. The screen quality is excellent and with an adaptor. You can easily connect to a full size monitor or tv. I have done this for Netflix and it was great. I will say that the Surface is not an impulse device like an iPad. The Surface has to boot like a laptop being asleep while the iPad is always on and quick for email and browsing. If you are looking for more pc features then the surface is right for you but if you are just checking email and browsing, stick with an iPad.

One device to rule them all!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the office, I have it plugged into a usb 3.0 port that has my monitor, keyboard and mouse on it. I use it in desktop mode at work with the mouse as that is easier. Then when done for the day I unplug it and take it home with the touch keyboard and use it as a laptop to get work done or a tablet for playing around or letting my 6 year old play games on it.

Versatile
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I knew this would be on the large size for a tablet computer but my desktop computer is 8 years old and I wanted something that could take it's place if it crashes on me. I chose the Surface Pro because I can insert a SD card or a thumb drive to add more storage or swap files between devices. It is serving it's purpose well. I use it when lounging on the sofa in the evening. The screen quality is excellent. If you want a tablet to take with you wherever you go you might go with a lighter tablet like an Ipad or Android device but if you want some power as well the Surface Pro is for you. I love it for my needs. I have my smart phone with me when not at home.

Better than I expected!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actually replaced my business laptop with the Surface PRO. I was pleasantly surprised. Perfect for traveling, easy to tote around and setup for presentations. Very fast with the i5 processor and handles all office software. The add-on of the touch keyboard is a must!

Great device for all your programs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I wasn't sure if I needed another device but I just love this one. Microsoft makes it so great offering "one drive" so you can sync all of your devices to one storage location. I also purchased the keyboard which is awesome. I won't need my pc anymore.

A tablet-sized computer perfect for travel.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had wanted a fully functioning laptop computer that could run all of the computer programs I needed for business, including word and photo processing, spreadsheets, and CAD, but wanted all in a tablet size that was easy to lug through airports, fit within airline tray clearances, and that minimized the weight I had to port around. Although I have only had my Surface Pro for one month, it has met and exceeded my expectations. Tablets did not afford the ability to perform the work I needed while traveling, and the Ultrabooks, although comparable, were extremely expensive for a piece of equipment that would be outdated within two years. The only drawbacks - one USB port, where two would be minimum, and the need by Windows 8 to switch back and forth from the touch interface to the original desktop in order to run Windows-based programs. Both drawbacks work in tandem as Windows, running in desktop mode, is better navigated through the use of a mouse. But with only one USB port, a multi-port hub is required to connect both a mouse and a portable hard drive simultaneously. More accessories to port. But those drawbacks are not insurmountable and, given that the more popular tablets do not even offer a single USB port, just makes this computer choice even better.

This device is super easy to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speed of the PC/tablet is lightning fast, thanks to its fast processor! The graphics is crisp! I love how this device is portable. You can work anywhere and play anywhere. I bought the full office 2013 suite and a type cover and loaded a few games from the app store. I seem to find myself glued to this device for hours each day!

Best Tablet for Windows Users
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Used for business and personal, surfing the internet and standard apps. Also used Office365 for 30 days until it expired. Installed Office2013 and added the links to the Start banner...no problem using this tablet. it's fast easy easy enough to navigate with a little time to figure out Windows8. Everything works just fine.

Good but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The biggest problem I have is the stylus which is held onto the side by a magnet. A) it gets bumped off easily, and B) you have to remove the stylus to charge the tablet. While the tablet can be used w/o the stylus, fingertips are are not as precise. The tablet itself is great to work with. It's fast, easy to see, and is a great bang for the buck.

Much Better Than Surface RT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been waiting for a good deal on a lightweight tablet that I could run all my business software on while away from the office. This does, is surprisingly fast to load and has decent storage. Storage can be expanded up to at least an extra 64GB which is nice. If you are looking for a reliable traveling office tablet, this could be your machine.

Better than an iPAD....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs biz apps flawlessly. Takes some time to learn new op. sys. and features. Size, weight, speed and price are excellent. Keyboard is good. Wonderful for putting in a folio and not having to carry a briefcase.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome product. I can execute business apps without any issue. Its fast and responsive but would be good if the weight can be reduced. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to use a PC in form of a tablet.
