Size is great and the features are numerous. Touch screen is responsive to even a light touch. It is great having a USB port; as well as, being able to connect it to my TV.

The first time I picked it up the first thing I noticed was the weight. It's heavier than my 13" laptop. The battery life is not what I expected to get. Thank goodness for the store and the wonderful people who write code they made an "app" that is all about hotkeys and how to use this brick. It's definitely a touch screen laptop and not much else.

I am very pleased with this unit. It is doing the job I wanted it for. I purchased it because it had the full windows program on it. I hooked it up to a wireless mouse .... It's easier for me. It's about the size of my iPad, large enough to work on and small enough to take in my purse. I also love the stylist and the optional keyboard.

I wanted a tablet that I could use for home and at our small business. This works great. I like that I can have all of the office suite on my tablet. I also know that I gave up some battery life for the full use of windows, but not as much as I was expecting after talking to the Salesman and reading the reviews. I am not familiar with the Android line. I did know that the iPad was not something I thought would work well for the office. I have had it a month and the only complaint I have so far is that I would like to zoom in on some webpages and pictures. So far I have not been able to figure an easy way to do that. And I bought a case on Amazon. The options at Best Buy weren't great. That is my other complaint. I wish I could find a better case for it.

This device handles about anything you can throw at it but ends up being too think to hold with three fingers like an iPad. It is simply just a little too heavy / and a little too thick. With that said - It is very capable. Great if you need something more powerful than your standard tablet and don't need to take it out in the field.

This computer is not a tablet, it is more a small ultra book in power level, and the price reflects it. It can crunch numbers, run graphic intensive programs and screams through any tasks with Microsoft Office. It is fully compatible with virtually all software in the Microsoft PC software library and with the attachable touch or type keyboards or a blue tooth wireless keyboard can fully replace your current laptop. As a touch screen tablet it is robust and quick, supporting multi touch and even use of a stylus with support for pen pressure levels if supported by your drawing software. Overall a great ultra book that can convert to a blazing fast tablet in a heartbeat, a great computer.

I have been using the Surface pro for about a month now and overall I am very happy with it. Pros: 1) I have transitioned to using the Pro as my primary work laptop and have not had a big learning curve 2) I primarily us this in the desktop mode. The option to use the win 8 tiles mode is a bonus 3) Satisfied with the battery life. I get about 4-5 hrs on a single charge enough for my commute between DC and Seattle. Cons: 1) Tried to install Visio and Project 64bit and had some issues 2) WiFi connection dropping issues Overall, I am very satisfied with my pro

My husband & I bought this to share as we are both doing a lot of traveling and wanted a light & portable laptop. It has been perfect for what we needed, although sharing is not as easy as I thought it would be. When he takes it away I miss the convenience of being able to pop it in my purse when I go out. We may need another one

Great value for money. Complete Windows makes it great for work and fun. Awesome screen quality, fast processor. Speakers could have been better. Battery life not as disappointing as the online reviews suggest. Magnetic charging cable - not so great - comes off easily. Overall a great product.

Really like the tablet. It's very fast and it can do almost everything my pc can do. I didn't get the keyboard with it and without the keyboard and your using the on screen one it's kinda strang, like when your on the web or filling out something and you click the line to start filling it out the keyboard doesn't auto open. You have to goto the bottom and click on the I keyboard icon to get it to open up. That is the only thing I don't like. I've only had it for a couple weeks and you may be able to change that in the settings but I've not found it yet. Going to get the keyboard for it anyway so won't matter much then. But beside that one thing I really like the tablet. It has plus and minuses over my iPad. The screen is nice and brite and has very nice resolution. The cameras are not bad but video is good. I got it for about half what it goes for normal so I got a great deal. Would be hard to spend close to 1k for a tablet and doesn't have cellular only wifi but the 128 gig is nice to have. The speaker should be louder for the price though. Over all it a good tablet for the money I paid.

SURFACE PRO: Tablet I've Been Waiting For!

I purchased an IPAD shortly after its release two years ago. I enjoyed both the portability and instant boot time -- no waiting for the machine to start up to surf the web or send an e-mail! However, I frequently found myself stymied by IPAD's limitations. The 'sandbox' file system and inconsistent compatibility between PC software and IPAD apps make it difficult to use IPAD to complete serious work. While the IPAD has been through several iterations since its original release, Apple has done little to improve their tablet to ameliorate the limitations I encountered. Unfortunately, successive IPAD releases appear to focus more on esthetic and specification improvements (faster processor, better camera, different bezel shape, ...) rather than expanding its applicability to new tasks the prior versions could not do. These factors contributed to my looking for a new tablet that could perform serious work in addition to serving as an entertainment medium. Microsoft's Surface PRO matches my expectation of a tablet. I was initially hesitant to make the purchase due to the uncharitable news reports that Surface PRO has poor battery performance and little available storage space. My wife and I visited Best Buy several times to examine their Surface PRO on display. We were assisted by several helpful employees who patiently answered our questions and allowed us liberties with testing the claims made by the media. We found the Surface PRO has plenty of available space to install our applications and store our data. Further, the battery life is sufficient for use throughout an entire work day between charges. Since purchasing my Surface PRO tablet, my IPAD has been enjoying its retirement and I haven't looked back!

It takes a little while to get used to the Windows 8 interface (which I hear they are going to do away with), but this has been a great little machine so far! Haven't had it too long, but love it. It is heavier than I expected.

    Fully Adequate Notebook Replacement

I bought this tablet with the intent of replacing my heavier Dell notebook while traveling. I was confident that our engineering software would not run on the RT operating system, and I waited to make the purchase until the 128 GB and Windows 8 was available. I bought a busines version of Office (incl Outlook), tactile keyboard cover, a 64GB SD card, and the Geek Squad, and my purchase price with tax was a little over $1600.00. Obviously, this is expensive for a consumer tablet, but this thing is truly a tablet PC. I've been able to load application software packages and they run without a hitch. The USB port is a real advantage compared to some other products .... we have software keys that are USB dongles and we readily trade files at meetings by passing USB sticks across the table. It fully suits my business needs, and when I'm streaming video, the display is killer and the sound is adequate. External speakers would make it better, but that's true of other tablets as well.

I love my Surface Pro! When the Surface line first came out, I got a Surface RT and loved it! I used it everyday in some way or another. When the Surface 2 models came out and the price of the original Pro dropped, I sold my RT and bought this model. I use it pretty much the same way I used my RT, but I wanted to flexibility to add programs that I already had instead of having to get everything from the Microsoft Store. I like the additional storage as the Pro has 128 gb and my RT only had 64. I have had it about a month now and have not had any problems with it at all. I highly recommend this tablet/computer. I'd buy it again!

This is what I have been waiting for. Neither the iPad nor the Tab2 fit the bill. Finally a product that I can install all my business and development software on so I no longer have to lug around my huge laptop when I travel. I got the touch cover and it works like a dream. Could not believe how quickly I got used to it and I am a fast typist. I then used the stylus to take notes in a meeting which went straight to a word document and that was brilliant. I love, love, love this product.

Got this for $500. Can't beat that value. This tablet has the power of a desktop in a tablet body. Love being able to install full Office and desktop programs on this. Bought the type keyboard as an accessory and love it. Recommend it over the touch for any significant typing.
