Microsoft surface pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No need to carry my oversized laptop and ipad. I love the power of this tablet. I create word documents, surf the net, email from this tablet. I do recommend the keyboard cover, it adds so much functionality.

Love pc capability in tablet form factor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent build quality and form factor. I like this "tweener" product that gives me the power and capability of a pc in a tablet form factor. Miss some apps e.g. Facebook (but have website icon on home screen (almost as good)) and would like better ebook capability (only Kindle app at the moment). Still some rough edges in software/hardware integration but not a serious issue. Works well with Office 365 and Microsoft wedge mouse. Would sell my iPad 4 in a heart beat if better app selection. Touch type keyboard works will. I look forward to future software/firmware updates.

Nice product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely enjoy the ability to sit in the Family room and do most everything that I used to have to do by using the desktop PC. Still getting used to Windows 8.

Small size - big options.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love everything about it so far. It's perfect for those who want a tablet but need a laptop. The size is ideal for travel. I'm currently using it as a home computer, replacing both laptop and desktop with the ease of a tablet. The only thing I do not like is the power cord. It is magnetized to snap into place but I find that it is often twisted just a tiny bit so you have to turn it and press in to make certain you have a connection.

Better than I expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to use for school. It's fast and very convenient, especially with the keyboard cover. Windows 8 can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, but overall I really like it. The apps leave a little to be desired, but it's a computer not a tablet so that's to be expected.

Great all in one pc / tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that is looking to purchase a laptop equivalent that is in a tablet form. The surface is very high quality in build and features. It's sleek, solid, and has a great array of software that you can load to it since it's native windows. Everything about the surface screams top quality and satisfaction. The only small complaints I can give it are the lack of a place to put stylus besides the charge slot, and the battery life could be better (when there is hardware that improves it).

Great PC and Tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome! Fast and easy to use. This tablet is powerful enough to be your everyday PC, which I am actually doing. Much lighter than a laptop, and with solid state components, there is no boot up time. Very glad I got this.

It's no iPad but in some ways better some worse
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the surface pro and the iPad and I'm not giving up either. The iPad is my goto reader, web browser, portable internet access device whereas the surface pro is my device for doing serious work on when the laptop is too cumbersome and heavy. Battery life is good, not great and it's too clunky to use as a reader even though the screen is phenomenal. But it runs Photoshop, Office and every other W8 application I have thrown at it. With a 64GB MicroSD card as well it has all the storage I will ever need for a device like this - hmm, didn't Bill Gates say that about 640K ;)

iPad Killer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After being an iPad 1 owner, and getting my wife an iPad 4, I can honestly say that when people ask me how I like the Surface...I always say I'm never going back! Many people say its not a fair comparison because they are different products. I simply say, there is no comparison, and that's why I bought it. Looking forward to see how these things progress...I expect bigger leaps in hardware advancement between generations than Apple...and I'm glad I no longer have to worry about having to jailbreak my device in order to get the most out of my expensive device.

Better than a typical tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using my Surface Pro for a month now and have used it to make field modifications to a building design using my full CAD software. Operation is smooth and program loading is quick. No longer have use for my iPad because I can do anything on more on this tablet.

A complete computer in a tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Surface has the power of a full-sized computer in the shape of a tablet. I have not found it lacking in any functional capabilities. This is a purchase I would make again. I would have like a 12 to 14 inch screen.

This is a great desktop replacement. TABLET!!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This really is a great machine. The speed is amazing. I have only installed 2 or 3 basic apps from the market and MS Office 2013. It has hesitated a couple of times, like hanging for 10 seconds like the laptop was locked up but it recovered and continued without failure. I am blaming it on power saving features at this time. All in all a good desktop replacement as well as a powerful on the go machine with great battery life.

Great for on the go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is great for work or home use. Easy to carry and compact. Great screen and I love the pointer . A little too easy to lose though.

Well built, great performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With all the new Windows 8 tablets on the market, picking one can be confusing. I picked the Surface Pro because it looked and felt sold. And because it is made by Microsoft, I expected the new operating system to work flawlessly with the hardware (a benefit that Apple has enjoyed for years). I was not disappointed. The only downside to the Surface is the limited storage. While 128MB is a good amount of storage for a tablet, the Surface would be a perfect laptop replacement if only it could store more data internally.

Awesome bit of Kit

slick but gets hot and short battery
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've read the other reviews and they are pretty spot on. It's good for work because it runs all the windows programs. I have an iPad and use it for recreation such as games and surfing the web. I use the surface pro when I travel and can actually use it for work to run excel, access, and remote access my desktop back at the office. Would be five stars but it really sucks when it gets extremely hot and battery life lasts about three hours the way I use it. Not very many options in the apps category but Overall, it does what I need it to. Nice job, Microsoft!

The best PC tablet on the market

Good for travel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first tablet. It's easy to cart around and I like the detachable keyboard that also protects the screen. It's way faster than my mini laptop and much easier to use. I have found it difficult to connect to my Outlook account and it wants me to set up a Microsoft email account rather than connecting easily with any of the other email accounts I already have.
