Still getting use to Win8. I would enjoy it more if it had a decent battery life. The sales clerk told me I would have to charge it once a week. I'm charging it 3-4 times a day. Battery is good for about 2 hours max. :(

If you want the convenience of an iPad and all the office/business features of a non-Apple laptop, then this is for you! The only thing I've found that is weak about this is the 4 hour battery life.

It's very portable and takes up so little space in my backpack. I rarely go anywhere without it. I'm still migrating to all the apps that come standard in it. There's always more to learn and do.

The device is used in a business setting, and having full windows 8 allows it to run any normal app. The screen is great, and the device just works well. The pen input doesn't have a good secure mechanism, also power and/or docking could be a bit easier.

I needed a purse size, full operating system computer. This met my need. However to get full functionality, I had to buy a keyboard at additional cost. The best thing about it for me is the size/portability and having Windows 8 operating system. I have downloaded the program I need for work and it runs perfectly.

I purchased the computer to up grade from a dell laptop with windows 7 and in order to get the latest operating system for a pc. I wanted a system that I could use on a fixed location and also be able to use it away from my fixed position, just like a lap top, but not as bulky.

The surface is like a laptop except lighter and imminently more portable. It has ms word windows loaded which is important to me as I'm a writer. It also makes it easier to read some of my digital magazines and books. And the USB port is handy to download some works in progress. I am disappointed that I could not install Chrome which is my prefered browser, but not a big issue.

The size is good and the screen quality is very good, but it's a whole new desktop world and takes more than a little getting used to. For example, if I click on the "mail" on the start screen, I get old emails, not the most recent ones, so I really need to log into the main internet portal to get current info. The touch screen is also not as responsive all the time as it could be...

This perfectly serves my needs. I can get all my programs that don't have "apps" or that cost, and I can use my flash drive. This is important because I am not always where I can get the "cloud". This is the perfect blend of a laptop and a tablet that runs all windows programs.

I was never blown away by the functionality of the IPad. The Surface Pro gets it right. Just the right amount of work functionality (full Office Suite) and entertainment. I really can do everything on this tablet. Great display. Very fast. Pull away keyboard. It's so versatile.

We got this on close out since a newer model was out. We purchased the keyboard, which we really like. I love that it's easy to carry around. It will be great when we travel, which is the main reason we made the purchase.

It took me a while to learn the ins and outs of Windows 8, but the more I've learned how to use it, the better I've enjoyed it. I've had an iPad in the past and there is no comparison. The MS Surface blows it out of the water in every way (except for price and learning curve).

Our company was looking for a tablet that could used by our sales team. With the possible need to print from a tablet, the Surface Pro was the best option since you can throw any driver at it. It also makes it possible to access our Windows server easily and our business software!! Now looking at the thought of getting the Dock so they can replace their old PC's, enabling them to have everything at their fingertips at all times. There is a bit of a learning curve with Win8, but once you get past that, it's Windows.

I love the Surface, having the full functionality of Microsoft Office is a huge plus for me. Other benefits - using either touch screen, mouse or both; checking emails, Facebook, etc.; doing everything you can do on your desktop including downloading any software you want; are just a few of the advantages. I have an Ipad, I used it every day, but was frustrated at not being able to have the ease of use with Microsoft Office. With the Surface I have the best of both. Unfortunately, it means having to learn the new operating system, Windows 8, which is so different from Windows 7. Once I complete the learning curve, I am so looking forward to my new adventures with the Surface and giving up my IPad.

It is what you expect. If you want a full Windows experience and portable but you aren't more than 5 hours away from an outlet, this will work fine. The touch interface is very disappointing running at a very high-resolution. But I bring this back and forth from the office and paired with a bluetooth keyboard and a mouse, this will work fine for those type of use cases.

The buzz on the net about this device was ridiculous. Frankly, this isn't a tablet so most of the hate isn't deserved. I love this device and battery life isn't an issue for me. If you want something more than a tablet and ultraportable this is for you. If they had put a bigger battery in it would be too big for me.
