Haters hate, we all know that. The downside is the price and I think that's one tummy people are really not liking about the surface pro. Windows 8 def has a bit of a learning curve with swipes and gestures. Overall great machine that's tablet size, but versatile.

I am extremely happy with the Surface Pro. The hardware is solid and well designed. The screen is bright and crisp. It features the convenient attributes of a tablet: small, light, instant power on/off. Plus, the pen is responsive and very precise. (a core requirement for me). With the kick stand and the Type Cover, it functions well as a general purpose (but small) laptop. I would not pay the price if a tablet were all I needed, however, I needed a real hybrid - convenient tablet, powerful laptop. The Surface Pro strikes the perfect balance. It works well at home, at work, and at my gigs.

I purchased this as a Birthday gift for my daughter. Her old laptaop was heavy and used VISTA...which she always complained about!!

This is my 1st Windows tablet , and I can say I am very pleased with it, it has everything I need , the screen is very clear , the overall performance for video or presentations is very fast and lighter than a lap top . I will say this is the perfect tablet for a beginner like me.

The product is great so far. I choose this one so I can run programs along with apps. It's difficult to use with just my fingers but the stylist makes it much easier. It's a dependable computer that I don't have to pull out of my bag when going through airport security (no hard drive).

I can handle this computer just fine as I have my fair share of experiences with the many platforms and types of devices out there in the market. I am the type who just know how to use electronic things without the need to read instructions. But I can see that other people could get frustrated with this half tablet and half PC machine. As a tablet, there are not that much useful free APPs available. As a PC, I don't get that many useful programs from the price I pay for the machine (Surface Pro and key board cost more than $1,000). Many regular laptop at that price comes with a load of bundled programs. The battery life is so short that it practically defeats the purpose of it being a tablet because you can't really work too long on the machine without a good source of power nearby.

Super product, going to be a great asset as a college student. I can easily carry to class to take notes, but still type papers and do research like a laptop.

I really like my Surface Pro. Easy to use. Way pricey but thats just how electronics are now a days. But was worth the purchase. Since I received a free Best Buy gift card, a $25 windows app store gift card, and some free software. But overall I would recommend the Surface Pro.

Surface Pro is a real nice and fast tablet. The keyboard is ok but seems to be in my way more that I use it. I love the touch screen capabilities of it and the full USB port. Sound quality seems a little lacking though.

I looked at Ipad and Samsung galaxy tablets, and neither seemed to lend themselves easily to applications and programs I needed for business. Tried the Samsung 10.1, and returned it.The Surface Pro gives me everything a laptop does, but in the size and convenience of the tablet format. I use everyday in doing presentations to clients, and it performs perfectly. Love it, love it, love it! At first I was a little put off by the price, but now that I have been using it, feel it is well worth the money.

This is a great Tablet for anyone wishing to have the portability of a Tablet and flexibility of a laptop. Very responsive touch screen interface that responds to your gestures. Quick/powerful computer that runs multiple things at once with ease and seamlessly transitions between applications. The native resolution is 1080p and when hooked up to external display does not have to do any scaling which sometimes causes images to not look as crisp/sharp. Only drawback is there seems to be a lag or other times a rush between the on-screen pointer and the mouse movement. Sometimes the peripheral devices connected via Bluetooth such as the mouse and keyboard are responsive. This may be an issue with the devices themselves and is easily solved with restarting the device. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and think it's an exceptional value!

great tablet to have. Probably not the best but it's still really good

I've been using for business for the last 30 days it most everything I want it to do and then some! Wish it had more apps.

Well worth it! Easy to use, great quality, no complaints other than the issue with the attachment port for the pen being the same as for the charger, so both can't be attached at the same time.

I like the portable size great for traveling. the removable key pad allows to use as a tablet or PC

Difficult to find some of the features that I am accustomed to in Windows 7. After the learning curve is reached, it works well. Found that a wireless mouse makes it easier to use depending on what is being done.

I use this tablet for work mostly and it is great! Seamlessly integrates with almost all other Microsoft Products. I just wish Windows 8 wasn't so confusing and there is a lot of bloatware.

This is an excellent tablet and it does a fantastic job for what it is designed to do. The battery life is not very good, so I ended up exchanging it for the Surface 2 Pro, and am extremely satisfied now.
