Over all not a bad machine as long as you use the external keyboard. The charge position is the same place as the pen is stored so you have to remove the pen to charge so it can get lost.

THIS UNIT IS SO COMPACT AND LIGHT AS COMPARED TO A LAPTOP.BOTH THE UNIT AND KEY BOARD AND BATTERY FIT INTO THIS TINY CARRY CASE BAG.I JUST LOVE HAVING SUCH A LIGHT COMPUTER EVEN THOUGH IT IS A TABLET WITH A SIMPLE ATTACHED KEYBOARD.THE SCREEN IS BRIGHT AND CLEAR.I AM VERY HAPPY THAT I PURCHASED THE MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO.

Base on the type of unit that the Surface is I don't expect to get 8 hours off a single battery charge, but getting 2 and 3 hours plus is great.

I think the unit will be very useful once I'm able to discern how to connect. Air card won't load; unable to connect to public wireless that my laptop can log into. No instructions or link to operating tips. Screen very good, seems to be robust. Difficult to navigate between panes.

We got this for dual use. Business and personal traveling. My husband had to have Microsoft office for his business. This was the only one we found you could download office onto. Clear screen and bright colors. Not so hot on extra attached keyboard. Had to get purple and you can hardly see where the touchpad is.

A little pricey for a tablet, but it has a full version of Windows 8. So far, it's taken everything I can throw at it. I did find that I needed a keyboard for Word docs but I don't like the Microsoft options. I went with a 3rd party Bluetooth keyboard and it's been great.

I'm sure when I learn to use Windows 8 I'll be happy with this. Right now without someone to point things out, it is frustrating. It could use more USBs. My old guy eyes need helper glasses to enjoy the fabulous screen.

While I'm enjoying using the surface pro, there are some drawbacks. In addition to needing to use the stylus, I also needed to purchase the keyboard, as the touchscreen keyboard was difficult to use. Coming from Vista, the learning curve for Windows 8 is quite large, and it's taking a long time to get used to the very different features.

Love the Surface Pro - totally worth the wait. Used it instead of my laptop when traveling for business and didn't miss a beat. Windows 8 is great; easy to learn and MS Office works slick on the machine.

I bought my surface for use at work and am finding more and more uses for it at home. Besides being compact and fast, the screen is excellent with great clarity and color. I find myself using it more then my laptop or desktop computers. So far I have not found anything that I am not satisfied with at work or home.

Love my new tablet. It works great! Nice to be able to use your mouse with a tablet. Can play my facebook games on it. Some tablets don't have a flashplayer, this one does. Small computer, great price.

This product is a great replacement for a laptop with all the additional features of an IPAD. It is very light and the battery is decent. It would help if there was a better stylus pen attachment.

It is a brand new OS for me, but I am slowly working my way around. I like being able to toggle back and forth between the tablet view and the desktop view. The detachable keypad is brilliant. Great screen resolution.

This is more than a. E-reader or tablet. It is a full PC that has Windows 8, runs Win7 full programs that just happens to be tablet sized. Great screen resolution.
