The Surface Pro 2 is a great way to have a fully functioning laptop with the size of using a tablet

I love that fact that it is running a full version of the OS, so I can run all my programs on it, I have no need for a second computer. Since it will allow my to link to my X-Box, I can watch my video file on my TV.

This system is great for taking notes and doing light work duties. The screen is not great in really bright sun light. It is awesome if you like Microsoft and Windows products.

I have found I like to use this as much as I like to use my Ipad. I am able to easily take it with me for work and can use external memory to meet my needs instead of having a cumbersome laptop that takes a while to boot up. I do miss some of the apps that are on the ipad.

It is very powerful and useful for all types of jobs :) Although it is expensive, it takes the place of both your laptop and tablet.

I bought this for my wife to use in grad school. The desktop option is great for use with programs unlike all most other tablets. However the Microsoft App Store does not have a large offerings in apps like the Apple App Store.

Overall pleased. Don't know if there is more than one maker for the attachable keyboard but the one I purchased is too sensitive at times and at others not responsive to touch. Gets a little frustrating.

Surface is a great device. Once start to adapt to the form factor you become absolute fan and try to convince everyone that this is the future. So... Microsoft hardware is solid and bests other manufacturers, quality, design, system integration is all fantastic.

The biggest learning curve for me is the upgrade to Windows 8, otherwise it's great. The monitor is so clear, I highly recommend buying the lighted touch keyboard (not the soft-touch keys). It's like having the best of both worlds - a tablet and laptop in one.

I have been extremely pleased how it performs as a real computer. From a shutdown condition it is ready to perform within 15 seconds of pressing the start button.

I got this Surface when it was 50% off making it worth the money. At full retail id out it at 3 or 4 for value for price. Its a laptop the size of a tablet. Windows 8 is clearly designed for this platform and works flawlessly. No complaints at all. Love it.

I bought this as a christmas present for my son in college because I felt it would be easier carrying it around than his laptop. He says its features are great and has recommended it to his friends.

This was the best purchase I could have made. I wanted something that would be for work or play and I definitely found it. The IPad has nothing on the Surface.

I've waited a while for a Windows tablet. Many of the programs I use are for older versions of windows - Mac doesn't offer them.

So far i love the way it functions i have been using it for only a few days and i haven't been able to find something to complain about, and thats to say im a big complainer.

The Surface Pro (and surface pro 2 now) is really the only way to go amongst the Microsoft stable of tablets. The regular surface is just too limited in usability. If you need a tablet that can run the gamut of windows programs this is a good choice.

I had my tablet stolen and decided to replace it with the Surface. It now replaces my laptop, for the most part. If it had a larger storage, the laptop would be gone. The hard part was finding a protective case.

I bought the Surface to replace my laptop. I found myself using the internet the most but still wanted the capabilities to create lists using excel or viewing work documents from home if I needed to so having the capabilities of Office on a tablet was a definite bonus!

I will never have another iPad after using the Surface Pro. Also, purchased the extra keyboard. That makes it perfect as a laptop as well as a tablet.

It takes a while to get used to the interface of Windows 8, but that's the interface not just the tablet. There are usually several ways to get to the same place. I would help if there was a good tutorial on all the features and ways to use the interface of the tablet.
