We were looking for a light weight computer to take to college. The Surface Pro gives you that. We can use it as a tablet or add the keyboard for more of a computer feel. It is small enough to fit in a tote or backpack.

I bought this tablet for my daughter she loves it.

Everything about the Surface Pro is exactly what I expected and was waiting for. The only draw back is worrying about it getting scratched or falling. Hope they get some full covers soon.

I was skeptical until I saw all the positive feedback rolling in here on BestBuy.com I purchased the Surface Pro 128Gg and can confirm the positive feedback is accurate. Surface pro is what many of us have been waiting for. A portable tablet size device that has full computing capabilities for business. I run an internet based business and do not work from a fixed location. I have been traveling and doing all my work on my Surface for a week now. So, I'd like to share what I appreciate about the Surface, as well as the few minor issues that could be improved. Pros: 1. Ultra notebook experience - fast and powerful device 2. Small/Light , Easy to Travel with, comfortable to work on (on desks/tables using type cover) 3. Have been easily able to install all our 3rd party software. 4. Runs Adobe software well.. surprisingly fast. 5. Type cover is terrific.. i was able to start typing full speed with no "adjustment" period. Track/Touchpad works fairly well. 5. Overall, this device allows me to do everything I do on my laptop, but is much smaller. If you are looking for a tablet sized device which allows you to work on standard windows based software, this is a great choice. Cons: (minor issues I am OK dealing with) 1. As all reviews say, battery life is not that of a tablet, more of a notebook 4-5 hours max. 2. a little heavy if you are using it as a tablet... also, not ideal for people that like to put laptops on lap...this is for a table/desk. 3. track pad / touch pad on type cover.. I am having minor issues with right clicks .. maybe I just need to learn where to click on it..not a big deal.. I am using a mouse which I prefer anyway. 4. Windows 8 apps...as most folks know, not an extensive collection of apps yet... can't seem to find "search" function in app store.. I hope developers will jump on board Summary: if you are looking for a light/portable device with full functioning Windows environment and the processing power to do serious work, this is hands down the best product currently on the market. The other iCore Windows 8 pro tablets (Acer W700, Sony Duo 11, etc..) out there are awkward and uncomfortable. Surface Pro strikes the balance between power, speed, and comfort.

I decided since it could be returned I would grab one of these at the sale price of (as I recall) of $500 and then figure out if I wanted it afterwards. The store didn't have one of these to play with, just the newer updated versions. After reading reviews and playing with the newer versions I came to the conclusion that while powerful for the price and cool in many ways... I t just wasn't right for me. Partially this was because this newer version of Windows is pretty dreadful... I hoping that will be solved in future OSs. As far as recommending it, if someone needed this type of unit, it looked good. Bestbuy was fine for the return, no complaints.

This is a great product for someone who enjoys browsing the internet for enjoyment but needs a fully functioning computer when it's time to get down to business.

Device is great for business and entertainment. however, it does need to add more apps to purchard.

THE SURFACE SOLVED THE PROBLEM OF SIZE AND CAPABILITY - THE GRAPHICS ARE VERY CLEAR, TECHNICAL SUPPORT FROM MICROSOFT OUTSTANDING.......HOWEVER I WISH THEY HAD A DEDICATED REPRESENTATIVE IN THE GRAND RAPIDS AREA.

This is a Very portable and easy to use laptop with tablet technology. I has full productivity and. good professional machine.

My new Surface Pro is a doorway for me to capabilities I had only imagined. I'm learning to combine years of basic PC savvy with a new world of Touch, Apps and Social Networking.

I am pleased with the Surface, I have to carry it around and being light is a plus. I am starting to get over the size of the screen. It is a small challenge when I am taking an online class, but I guess over time it seems "natural".

You can download apps with ease. Accessing the Internet is quick and easy. Best of all you can load windows based software.

Was nervous about finding the right tablet and challenge of using a new OS. What a relief to see how easy it was use and I love Windows 8. I made the right choice.

It's easy to use. I love the touch screen and that you can also use a keyboard. Not only is it a tablet but it's a laptop too. I do have a full size laptop but the Surface Pro is faster and more fun to use!

Purchased to be able to run Windows programs when I am out of the office, It does that and does it well. It could have more disc space, but I am getting by with the SD card

I love this tablet! I bought the keyboard and microsoft, for when I work. Takes great pictures too! Got a great selection of games....free..and reaonably priced ones as well. It's the best of both worlds!

Item has a lot of potential but with a few major setbacks. Though it is powerful for a tablet it doesn't have the processing power necessary to do some task important to me including the power to play games. This is to be expected in a tablet but for the price you would hope that we may move to the era of tablet based gamine especially given the full operating system included in the tablet. as for apps there is little support for Microsoft 8 from many major players such as Pandora Facebook and Flip board. Given these major setbacks I decided to return the pro in hopes that some day soon this highly priced toy turns into a fairly priced tool.

This is a great product, I've been using both for business and personal use. I've purchased the 128, display port adapter to vga,64gb sd carf and the keyboard. evening came to $1400. Windows 8 has been great.

got this on sale so it was a great deal for what I was getting. Accessories are limited when compared to an ipad, however there are some out there. haven't found a great case solution, most are sleeves, but still looking.

Often drops wireless connection on waking and can't restore without restarting. Work VPN (Cisco) crashes the wireless connection. Microsoft's solution is to restore it to factory configuration, wiping out all installed programs - this was suggested to me after installing and configuring a fair amount of software. Not ready to do that yet. Occasionally loses the Bluetooth mouse I sometimes use with it. This also requires a restart. I know better than to buy version 1 of anything, but I needed a new laptop and thought I'd go with what some consider the Windows 8 reference machine. Should have bought a hybrid laptop. Live and learn
