This is a great machine for on-the-go business people. It takes care of most of the heavy windows programs for business so quickly. Even though I wish it had a better battery life, but after all, this is not just a tablet. This is a tablet shaped full windows computer. I5 cpu with ssd works really fast in this small yet powerful machine. When it's on the desktop mode, you'd better have a good eye sight though. Screen is so clear and crisp. Watching a movie on this is more than a simple pleasure. The pen is also a great part of the joy. Very sensitive and accurate. You can feel its working on the screen real good. Overall, a very good portable computer for business people, college and graduate students if you need a certain heavy windows programs according to your study needs. Price is a little bit high yet you get what you pay for. If you have one, enjoy. If you don't, well, still your life can be as much happy as it can be. Happy computing everybody!!!

Great overall product the build quality is fantastic except the stylus pen.

I like the size and weight, but did not like how difficult windows 8 is to navigate. If this would have been Windows 7 it would be amazing. I gave the tablet to my coworker and went and got a new ipad air, which is far easier to use.

I returned the Surface, it did not come with Office Suite which was the reason I was going with a windows product instead of an apple. I was also not able to download several apps, one being Facebook. So if I could not do both of those things, it was just better for me to go back to an ipad.

I love this tablet/laptop. While between classes and/or work, I can browser the web or watch TV (Netflix, hulu, etc). In addition, Bluestacks has an Android emulator for free that works perfectly with the Surface Pro. I use it to access all my Android apps and they work just as smoothly as they do on my Galaxy Note. But when I need to work on school or work projects I can use the keyboard to turn it into a laptop. I really like that I can use regular desktop apps on this (this has been a deal breaker for tablets in the past). Most people know who get a tablet get board with only having the ability to browse the web, check mail, and play a hand full of games after a few months of owning a tablet. Like many people, I need access to several programs for both school and work that only work in a Windows desktop environment. Plus some games on Steam are now targeted for a touch style interface (IE Civilization 5). In addition, Sky Drive is a must have for Windows 8. Every app has the ability to save data to your Sky Drive which is great for sharing and backing things up. It also allows you to free up space on the hard drive. The stylus works exactly like the stylus for the Galaxy Note (in fact the styluses are interchangeable). There is an eraser on the Surface stylus that does work with some apps (for example One Note). There is a built in app for browsing PDF files and you can use the stylus to hand write additional notes in the PDF file (a major plus). The camera is...ok, but gets the job done. I have seen better cameras on many phones in the past. The screen is amazing! Images look super sharp and the color range is pretty good too. This tablet does get pretty warm to the touch (depending on what you are doing), but is not too hot to hold. I hate Internet Explorer, but IE 10 is a vast improvement over older editions. Unfortunately Google Chrome does not work well with the touch screen. As such, for the time being I use IE 10 which works pretty well. The battery life is not bad (around 5 hours). The new Start screen and touch interface: A touch screen is a must have for Windows 8 and I would never use Windows 8 without one. The touch screen makes it easy to fly through settings, controls, and windows in a way that is just as painless and quick as older versions of Windows using keyboard shortcuts. Of course, all the keyboard shortcuts still work in Windows 8. CONS: Price! This almost cost the same as a high end laptop but is lacking features like a large hard drive and a longer lasting battery. That being said, the product is well made and can handle just about anything you can throw at it. I recommend this to power users. This tablet is for the people who need everything in a tablet with no compromises.
